Abstract: The invention comprises an electrical contact having a body with a crimping section and a base with resilient contact fingers extending forwardly from the base. The base has a tapered cylindrical section. A sleeve is secured over the base and the resilient contact fingers. The sleeve engages the tapered cylindrical section in an interference fit to secure the sleeve thereon.

Abstract: A plug housing assembly (10) with an outer socket (20), and inner socket (30), a primary latching member (40), a secondary lock member (60) and electrical contact assemblies (80). The inner socket (30) includes contact receiving apertures (34) for receiving latching beams (44) of the primary latching member. The secondary lock member (60) is inserted transversely relative to the contact insertion direction into inner socket (30) so that walls (65a) of contact chamber (65) will engage a sleeve (82) of electrical contact assembly (80), and bottom wall (66a) of latch chamber (66) of secondary lock member (60) will be disposed adjacent to latching beams (44) so that the beams (44) are secondarily locked into place.

Abstract: Apparatus for splitting blocks, the apparatus comprising a base (1) which supports a blade (2) with its splitting edge protruding a distance no greater than 5 mm above the base surface, guide ways (4) upstanding from the base (1) and positioned one to each side of the blade (2), and an opposite bladed member (5, 6) movable between and within the guide ways (4) along a vertical path which contains the respective edges of the blade (2) and the bladed member (5, 6). The surface of the base (1) is formed with corrugations (3) which extend in a direction normal to the edge of the blade (2). The base includes an upstanding wall lying to one side of the blade (2) and being provided with markings in the form of a rule.

Abstract: A portable door locking device including an attachment plate dimensioned for coupling with an existing striker plate on an existing door jamb. The attachment plate has a central aperture therethrough. A locking bar is threadable through the central aperture of the attachment plate to preclude inward opening of an existing door.

Abstract: An eye examination process includes instilling a neutral pH sulforhodamine B fluorescent dye which is excitable by green light and which fluoresces with orange light in the eye of a patient. The eye is then illuminated with green light and the eye is observed, preferably through a biomicroscope, through a filter which will pass orange light and which will not transmit the wavelength of the illuminating light. This process allows observation of both the eye's tear film and devitalized epithelial cells in the eye.
