  • Publication number: 20180313752
Abstract: A device for detecting the presence of a hydrocarbon gas includes a an optical assembly and a digital analyzer. The optical assembly includes a laser source and an optical receiver, which may be an infrared optical receiver. The laser source is configured to output a beam towards a target, while the optical receiver is configured to receive a reflected portion of the beam reflected from the target. The optical receiver outputs a waveform to the digital analyzer, the waveform being based on the reflected portion of the beam reflected from the target that is receiver by the optical receiver. The digital analyzer is configured to receive the waveform from the optical receiver and determine if a hydrocarbon gas is present between the optical assembly and the target. The beam outputted by laser source of the optical assembly may be a collimated beam.

  • Publication number: 20180314886
Abstract: A system and method for automated analytic characterization of scene image data includes at least one image sensor, a processor, and a communication device in communication with the processor. The at least one image sensor is configured to capture image data of a field of view. The image data includes a plurality of image frames, the processor is configured to receive the image data from the at least one image sensor; detect object, region, and sequence information in each image frame, construct metadata of the image data based on a detected object, region, and sequence information in each image frame, and transmit to the central served the metadata.

  • Publication number: 20180300886
Abstract: A system for detecting a gas cloud has a camera having an image sensor, a display device and a processor. The processor is in communication with both the image sensor and the display device. The image sensor is configured to capture a plurality of images of a field of view. The processor being configured to receive the plurality of images from the camera, generate metadata from the plurality of images, evaluate the gas cloud based on the metadata and the internal component movements of the gas cloud if the gas cloud is being emitted from a single leakage point, and generate a color encoded image of the field of view. The color encoded image utilizing at least one color to display at least one attribute of the gas cloud and the single leakage point on the display device.

  • Publication number: 20080036864
Abstract: A method and system for capturing and transmitting image data streams. In one embodiment, the method includes capturing image data with a image sensor; creating a window within the image data and creating a detailed image data stream based on the windowed image data; reducing the image data and creating a contextual image data stream based on the reduced image data; and transmitting the detailed image data stream and the contextual image data stream.

  • Publication number: 20060206850
Abstract: An automated system and method for programming field programmable gate arrays (FPGAs) is disclosed for implementing user-defined algorithms specified in a high level language. The system is particularly suited for use with image processing algorithms and can speed up the process of implementing and testing a fully written high-level user-defined algorithm to a matter of a few minutes, rather than the days, weeks or even months presently required using conventional software tools. The automated system includes an analyzer module and a mapper module. The analyzer determines what logic components are required and their interrelationships, and observes the relative timing between the required components and their partial products. It also ascertains when signal delays are required between selected components.

  • Patent number: 4685144
Abstract: Provision is made in a serial neighborhood transformation stage for generating statistical information relating to the number of transformations performed by the stage. This information can be transferred back to a host computer separately from the image pixels to indicate that there has been no change in the image being operated on by the stage or that a certain number of transformations have occured.
