Abstract: Concurrent servicing of a first cable of a cable pair while a second cable of the cable pair remains operational improves multi-processor computer system availability and serviceability. A pair of processing chips in different processing drawers may continue operation by way of the second cable while the first cable is degraded or serviced. Upon the servicing of the first cable, the serviced cable may transition to a fully operational state with no interruptions to the operations between the processing drawers by way of the second cable. Since cable faults are typically more common than processing chip or processing drawer faults, identification of cable faults and the ability to maintain operations of the processing drawers connected therewith is increasingly important.

Abstract: A memory controller stores each of a plurality of data blocks encoded by error correction code (ECC) across multiple channels of a redundant memory system. Based on receiving, from the memory system, channel data of a fetch operation requesting a data block, the memory controller decodes the channel data and concurrently generates a predicted channel mark based on tests of channel-induced syndromes generated from the channel data. The predicted channel mark identifies a marked channel among the multiple channels as a likely source of data errors. The memory controller determines whether the decoding detects an uncorrectable error in the channel data and, based on determining the decoding detects an uncorrectable error in the channel data, re-reads channel data corresponding to the data block and corrects the re-read channel data by excluding, from decoding, channel data received from the marked channel.

The computer may search a supplemental database for updated supplemental data corresponding to a real credential. The supplemental database may store the real credential, supplemental data, and the updated supplemental data. The updated supplemental data may be provided to the supplemental database in connection with authorization processing involving the real credential. The computer may receive the updated supplemental data associated with the real credential. The computer may transmit a response message to the access device including the updated supplemental data. The request message may be, as examples, an authorization request message comprising a token or a token request message comprising a token.

The system comprises a communication interface adapted to communicate with a client computer executing an event management software and with a computer from each issuer, a processor coupled to the communication interface, and a management module executable by the processor. The management module receives, through the communication channel, a request to issue a financial account related to the meeting from the event management software. The request includes an issuer identifier and meeting account parameters. The management module generates an account issuance message and transmits the message to a computer of the issuer identified by the issuer identifier. This way, the process of opening a financial account associated with a meeting event is automatically done without having to manually contact the issuer.

Abstract: A web service facilitates real time payment of suppliers' invoices with accounts issued by issuers to account holders. A payment request received by the web service from a client, identifying a credit limit for one commercial account in a pool thereof, is sent from the web service to the issuer to determine availability of the account and the credit limit for an account holder. If the issuer's response to the request confirms availability, payment instructions to the issuer are sent from the web service to pay the supplier's invoice. Alternatively, the request can be to determine availability of a single-use-account (SUA) and an adjustment to the account holder's credit limit from the issuer in order to make a future single payment on the SUA to the supplier for a purchase corresponding to a future invoice from the supplier who has not yet provided goods and/or services pertaining to the invoice.

There is no need to download content every time a particular client device (7) accesses the platform (1), as automatic synchronization of the tables at the platform and client ends ensure full access control to content remaining on the client device (7).

The system (1), at a high level, also comprises a set (4) of stored third party software development tools which can be launched by an opening function within the learning controller (2). The system (1) also comprises a set (5) of stored challenges called practice sets, each for presenting a challenge to a student involving use of one or more software development tools. A task engine (6) controls the presentation of challenges to students. A support engine (7) manages retrieval and outputting of support content and instruction tutors for guidance of a student. A judging engine (8) automatically analyses software developed by a student to generate a result. The result provides a competency profile, something which is very valuable to the student as it clearly indicates deficiencies in ability or knowledge.
