  • Patent number: 10230255
Abstract: A coil-in-coil structure (100) is formed within two devices (106, 108). The coil-in-coil structure (100) enables both wireless charging and secure pairing between the two devices (106, 108). The coil-in-coil structure (100) permits expanded wireless functionality using a single transmit coil (104) at a host radio device (108) and a receive coil (102) at an accessory device (106). A plurality of different accessory devices (606) can be interchangeably accommodated via a single host port (114) of the radio device (108).
    Type: Grant
    Filed: October 7, 2015
Date of Patent: March 12, 2019
    Assignee: MOTOROLA SOLUTIONS, INC.
Inventors: Felix Barmoav, Haim Kahlon, Leonid Michelson, Vitaliy Gurevich, David Moallem, Hadi Shvartz, Uzi Cohen, Haim Slotin

  • Patent number: 8982748
Abstract: An antenna arrangement (200) and communication device (500) using the antenna arrangement connect a plurality of transceivers (302, 304) to a plurality of antenna elements (314, 316) and switches connections between the transceivers and the antenna elements depending on which transceiver has primary transmit control. The antenna elements include a transmit antenna element (316) and a monitoring antenna element (314). The transceiver having primary transmit control is connected to the transmit antenna element and the transceiver not having primary transmit control is connected to the monitoring antenna element.
