  • Publication number: 20230371731
Abstract: A liquid dispensing apparatus includes a container including a downwardly extending wall portion that defines a bottom opening through which a liquid in the container is dispensed; a valve; and an actuator connected to the valve for controlling dispensing of the fluid from the container. The actuator is movable along an axis between a dispensing position, in which liquid from the container is dispensed, the valve being open when the actuator is in the dispensing position; and a non-dispensing position, in which liquid from the container is not dispensed, the valve being closed when the actuator is in the non-dispensing position, and the actuator in the non-dispensing position being located further from the container than when in the dispensing position. A spring biases the actuator in a direction away from the container. The liquid may be dispensed into a bottle containing a hard seltzer for flavoring of the seltzer.

  • Patent number: 11822636
Abstract: A biometric attribution approach identifies a keyboard actor based on timing between entered keystrokes. Patterns tend to emerge in a timing interval between keystrokes entered by an actor. The keystroke patterns of an actor are analyzed to compute a signature exhibited by the actor. Gathered or intercepted keystroke patterns of an unknown actor are compared to identify a likelihood that typing sessions emanated from a common actor. Keystroke activity of a purported suspect actor can be compared to a database or model of keystroke attributes for determining if the keystroke activity emanated from the same actor as other keystroke sequences. Keystroke patterns rely only on the timing between keystrokes, as key data and upstroke information need not be gathered since the comparisons reply only on keystroke timing deltas.

  • Publication number: 20230359361
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for frequency regulation for memory management commands are described. A memory device may maintain a respective first counter and second counter for each monitoring area of the memory device, where the counters may be incremented for each activate command received for the corresponding monitoring area. If the first counter satisfies a first threshold, an activate command issued to the monitoring area may be ignored. If the second counter fails to satisfy a second threshold, a memory management command issued to the monitoring area may be ignored and the memory device may maintain a value of the second counter, while decrementing the first counter. Alternatively, if the second counter satisfies the second threshold, the memory device may perform a memory management operation associated with a received memory management command and may decrement the first counter and the second counter.

  • Publication number: 20230355230
Abstract: Suture buttons are disclosed for fixing two bones together. The suture buttons may enable surgeons to more easily and effectively implement the suture button technique, such as to repair syndesmosis injuries in ankles. A first suture button includes a pulley peg extending from a button head. The pulley peg may be positioned with a bone hole upon installation of the first suture button, which may help protect suture and help reduce potential patient discomfort. The second suture button helps facilitate the second suture button flipping into place upon deployment from a button inserter. Each of the first and second provided suture buttons may help reduce friction between the respective buttons and suture during an installation procedure. The first and second provided suture buttons may be used together in a surgical procedure or individually with other suitable buttons or anchors.

  • Publication number: 20230348123
Abstract: A container has a product in a product-receiving area and has a sealing area surrounding the product-receiving area. A length of film is arranged over the container. A space above the film is evacuated using an evacuating portion of an upper sealing module arranged over the film, so as to cause a portion of the film to conform to the upper sealing module. An area of the film is cut out by moving a cutting tool relative to the upper sealing module from a recessed position to a cutting position. The cut-out area of film includes the portion of the film conformed to the upper sealing module, is brought into contact with the sealing area of the container by moving the upper sealing module relative to the container, and is sealed to the sealing area of the container using a heat sealing portion of the upper sealing module.

  • Publication number: 20230350580
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for techniques for non-volatile data protection are described. As part of a power on operation, a non-volatile memory system may be configured to selectively stored data. For example, the memory system may determine whether a host system is authorized to access data stored in the memory system prior to a power off operation. If the memory system determines that the host system is authorized, the memory device may retain the data. If the memory system determines that the host system is not authorized, the memory system may erase all or a portion of the data. In some cases, the memory system may maintain a retain flag to determine whether the host system is authorized. Additionally or alternatively, the memory system may determine whether a password received from the host system is valid to determine whether the host system is authorized.

  • Publication number: 20230350574
Abstract: Systems, methods and apparatuses to log memory errors in memory devices that can perform wear leveling based on physical addresses used in the memory devices to address select memory cells. For example, a controller of a memory sub-system communicates with a memory device installed in the memory sub-system to access memory cells in the memory device. During the communication to access memory cells in the memory device, the controller can determine a memory error at a first address. If the controller transmits the first address to the memory device for memory access at the time of the memory error, the memory device converts the first address to a second address to perform the memory access. The controller can be configured to determine the second address and record, in an error log, the memory error in association with the second address.

  • Patent number: 11750709
Abstract: Approaches described herein allow an appliance to receive a message from a client device when the client device is attempting to connect to a service other than the appliance. For instance, a client device might connect to a service on a private network, however if the client device is not on the private network, it may encounter an appliance such as a gateway. The appliance is configured to return a message to a client device indicating that it is an appliance, and the client device returns a certificate to the appliance that allows the client to indicate a first purpose of a connection and a second purpose of the connection. In approaches described herein, the second purpose is used by the appliance to perform an action related to providing the service with a certificate that allows for the first purpose, which can include information to create a secure connection between the service and the client device.
