Abstract: Systems, methods, devices and computer program products which relate to utilizing a camera of a mobile terminal as a user interface for search applications and online services to perform visual searching are provided. The system consists of an apparatus that includes a processor that is configured to capture an image of one or more objects and analyze data of the image to identify an object(s) of the image. The processor is further configured to receive information that is associated with at least one object of the images and display the information that is associated with the image. In this regard, the apparatus is able to simplify access to location based services and improve a user's experience. The processor of the apparatus is configured to combine results of robust visual searches with online information resources to enhance location based services.

Abstract: An interconnect structure comprises a logic capable of error detection and/or error correction. A logic formats a data stream into a plurality of fixed-size segments. The individual segments include a header containing at least a set presence bit and a target address, a payload containing at least segment data and a copy of the target address, and a parity bit designating parity of the payload, the logic arranging the segment plurality into a multiple-dimensional matrix. A logic analyzes segment data in a plurality of dimensions following passage of the data through a plurality of switches including analysis to detect segment error, column error, and payload error.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a surface effect craft comprising a supporting deck structure having two pontoons mounted thereto in catamaran like fashion. A propulsion mechanism is mounted to a rear portion of the deck structure. A lift control member is disposed under the deck structure between the two pontoons. The lift control member is pivotally movable mounted to the front portion of the deck structure. A lift adjust mechanism pivotally moves the lift control member between a first position with the rear end of the lift control member being in close proximity to the surface and a second position with the rear end of the lift control member being in close proximity to the deck structure. Employment of the lift control member enables the craft to achieve surface effect at low speed and, furthermore, allows control of the aerodynamic lift in a wide range from maximum lift to negative lift.

Abstract: According to some embodiments of the present invention, a system for determining characteristics of two rolls configured in a nip press includes a strip configured to be placed in the nip press. A plurality of sensors embedded in the strip is configured to generate signals representative of the pressure and/or the nip width between the two rolls. Interface circuitry facilitates addressing of individual ones of the plurality of sensors via a data processing system.

Abstract: An apparatus for utilizing speaker recognition in content management includes an identity determining module. The identity determining module is configured to compare an audio sample which was obtained at a time corresponding to creation of a content item to stored voice models and to determine an identity of a speaker based on the comparison. The identity determining module is further configured to assign a tag to the content item based on the identity.

Abstract: An agricultural apparatus is disclosed. The apparatus is adapted to be mounted to an agricultural machine such as a tractor and is provided with a boom having two arms extending in a direction substantially transverse to the agricultural machine. The boom arm are provided with a plurality of heads, adapted for either cutting or spraying, and can be used to cut or spray discrete areas of vegetation over which the apparatus passes. The apparatus is adapted to maintain the arms in a direction substantially parallel to the vegetation over which it is passing irrespective of the terrain.

Abstract: Displaying network content searches on mobile devices involves obtaining results of a network content request via a mobile device. A geolocation of at least one object associated with the results of the network content request is also obtained. A scene is viewed in a camera view of the mobile device. A virtual location is determined in the camera view. The virtual location represents the actual location of the object relative to the scene contained in the camera view. A graphic representing the object is then displayed at the virtual location in the camera view.

Abstract: A target for use in photogrammetric analysis that does not distort the object to be analyzed has been developed. The target is formed by mixing a diffuse material with a solvent and then applying the mixture to the surface of the object to be analyzed. The object is then coated with a reflective material so that the diffuse material forms a reflective target suitable for use in photogrammetric analysis.

Abstract: An interconnection network has a first stage network and a second stage network and a collection of devices outside the network so that a first device is capable of sending data to a second device. The first stage network is connected to inputs of the second stage network. The first and second stage networks each have more outputs than inputs. The data is first sent from the first device to the first stage network and then from the first stage network to the second stage network. The data is sent to the second device from the second stage network. The number of inputs to a device from the second stage network exceeds the number of outputs from a device into the first stage network. The latency through the entire system may be a fixed constant.

Abstract: An interconnect structure is disclosed comprising a collection of input ports, a collection of output ports, and a switching element. Data enters the switching element only at specific data entry times. The interconnect structure includes a collection of synchronizing elements. Data in the form of packets enter the input ports in an asynchronous fashion. The data packets pass from the input ports to the synchronizing units. The data exits the synchronizing units and enters the switching element with each packet arriving at the switching element at a specific data entry time.

Abstract: Disclosed herein is a space-saving arrangement for sensor elements, electrodes and conductors, and an encasement therefore, in a gas sensitive apparatus.

Abstract: A bag holder including a main enclosure body for practically enclosing a space shaped and configured to hold bags by their handles, the space being essentially surrounded by the main enclosure body, the main enclosure body having two ends proximate to each other which are separated by a gap and a retractable clip member connected to a first one of the main enclosure body ends and being capable to extend to and engage the second end such that engagement of the clip with the second end completes the enclosure formed by the main enclosure body, wherein the clip member is selectively positioned by the user as to open or close the gap. A method of using the bag is also disclosed.

Abstract: A disposable dental instrument of the compressed air drive type is disclosed for use in performing dental procedures on a workpiece. The disposable dental instrument is constructed from two mating shells and a core. Each shell incorporates a mating surface and said shells are joined using various bonding methods to ensure a waterproof, high quality dental instrument. An elongated body has conduits penetrating a base at one end of the body. The conduits allow entry of a light beam, a pressurized water stream, and a compressed air stream into the body. The base includes attachment threads for securing the body to a source of the light beam, pressurized water stream, and compressed air stream. Pluralities of passageways are in communication with the conduits for conducting the light beam, the water stream, and the air stream through the body. A head at the opposite end of the body rotatably mounts a turbine shaft on bearing surfaces which inhibit vibration and noise.

Abstract: A solar panel for a spacecraft has a base with a face, and at least one row of solar cells and at least one elongated reflector are mounted on the face of said base. The reflectors and the rows are mounted generally parallel to each other in an alternating fashion. The reflector has a first and a second reflecting side when the reflector is in a deployed position. The reflector is mounted so that the first side of the reflector is adjacent to a row of solar cells and reflects radiation incident on the first side onto the adjacent row of solar cells when said reflector is in a deployed position. Preferably, a plurality of rows and a plurality of reflectors are mounted on the face of the base, with at least one of the reflectors being disposed between two adjacent rows of solar cells.

Abstract: A switching system for routing information packets that can simultaneously receive a variety of packet formats. The packet formats include electronic packet transmissions, optical wave division multiplexed data (WDM) with a single frame consisting of a plurality of packets to be sent to a common output line, with each packet traveling on a separate wavelength, WDM packets where the header of an individual packet travels on a wavelength different from the remainder of the packet (i.e. the payload) and the payload either travels on a single wavelength or is subdivided into a plurality of sub-packets with each sub-packet carried on a separate wavelength, and the like. The system includes input devices, a scheduling unit, a switching unit; and variable delay line units. A deconcentrator in the packet switching system creates a minimum gap between packets.

Abstract: An interconnect structure comprises a plurality of network-connected devices and a logic adapted to control a first subset of the network-connected devices to transmit data and simultaneously control a second subset of the network-connected devices to prepare for data transmission at a future time. The logic can execute an operation that activates a data transmission action upon realization of at least one predetermined criterion.
