  • Publication number: 20240076078
Abstract: A corner post application system for a load having corners includes corner post applicators and moveable corner post holders. The corner post applicators include a corner post gripper configured to grasp a corner post, with the corner post applicators configured to move the corner post to a corner of the load. The corner post holders each have a clamp and are moveable between a retracted position and an engaged position, where in the engaged position the clamp is configured to engage a respective corner post to press the corner post against the load at the respective corner. When the corner post holders are in the engaged position the corner post applicators are configured to be retracted with the corner posts being held in engagement with the corners of the load by the corner post holders to enable an enveloping machine to initiate placement of a film over the load.

  • Patent number: 10363619
Abstract: A reciprocating saw blade for improving vibration and cordless runtime includes an elongated body having a front end portion and a rear end portion. An elongated cutting edge extends from the front end portion to the rear end portion and defines a longitudinal axis. An opposite non-cutting back edge extending from the front end portion to the rear end portion. The body has a thickness of approximately 0.89 mm to approximately 1.15 mm. A tang coupled to the rear end portion is configured to be coupled to a tool holder of a powered reciprocating saw. The cutting edge comprises a plurality of teeth and gullets. • Patent number: 9283808
Abstract: A passenger automotive vehicle wheel bearing assembly having improved impact Brinell resistance is provided. Due to a controlled gap between a rotating component and a non-rotating component or a vehicle suspension structure, the non-rotating component or the vehicle suspension structure is permitted to share impact loads caused by a sufficient radial or side impact (such as a pothole or curb impact) to the rotating component, thus preventing excessive loads from being transmitted to rolling elements, and providing greater resistance against Brinell impact damage that would generate a noise and/or vibration condition in the bearing assembly. Wheel bearing assemblies according to the invention provide increased impact Brinell resistance while avoiding excessive contact between the rotating component and the non-rotating component or the vehicle suspension structure during extreme cornering maneuvers.

  • Publication number: 20150304278
Abstract: A computer-based method for monitoring power generation uses a first computing device including a processor and a memory. The method includes receiving, at the first computing device, controller data from a controller associated with a power generator. The first computing device and the controller are coupled in two-way communication. The method also includes transmitting the controller data to a second computing device associated with monitoring the power generator. The first computing device transmits the controller data in one-way communication to the second computing device.

  • Patent number: 9085074
Abstract: A point chisel includes a substantially cylindrical shank and a working end region that tapers to a point. The working end region has at least three converging substantially planar surfaces, each with a protruding elongate rib extending along at least part of its length. Adjacent surfaces meet along at least part of their length at substantially straight edges between adjacent ribs. A flat chisel includes a substantially cylindrical shank and a working end region with a pair of converging substantially planar surfaces that include a plurality of protruding elongate ribs extending along at least part of its length. Each rib has, along the majority of its length, a substantially constant height above the surface from which it protrudes. Each chisel is made from steel, with the shank having a bainitic microstructure and the working end region having a martensitic microstructure.
