  • Patent number: 11848817
Abstract: Techniques discussed herein relate to updating an edge device (e.g., a computing device distinct from and operating remotely with respect to a data center). The edge device can execute a first operating system (OS). A manifest specifying files of a second OS to be provisioned to the edge device may be obtained. The manifest may further specify a set of services to be provisioned at the edge device. One or more data files corresponding to a difference between a first set of data files associated with the first OS and a second set of data files associated with the second OS may be identified. A snapshot of the first OS may be generated, modified, and stored in memory of the edge device to configure the edge device with the second OS. • Patent number: 11792007
Abstract: An onboard communication network of a vehicle is monitored to detect a plurality of available messages that include respective cipher-based message authentication codes (CMAC) and that were identified as eligible messages based on having an information entropy greater than a specified threshold. A first message is selected from the plurality of available messages. The CMAC of the selected message is input into a random number generator that outputs a random number seeded by the CMAC of the selected message. Then the random number is provided.

  • Publication number: 20230310824
Abstract: A breakaway medical connector can include a housing with engagement features that interface with corresponding engagement features on a breakaway member so that the breakaway is attached to the housing. A second connector can couple to the breakaway member to provide a fluid connection between the first connector and the second connector. If a force above a threshold is applied that pulls the second connector apart from the breakaway connector, the engagement features can be overcome and the breakaway member can detach from the housing. The second connector can detach from the first connector along with the breakaway member. The connector can have a valve that closes the fluid pathway upon the separation of the breakaway member from the housing. In some embodiments, the breakaway member can be reattached to the housing, such as to reestablish fluid communication between the breakaway medical connector and the second medical connector.

  • Publication number: 20230183290
Abstract: The present invention relates to methods of treatment for cancer using SPL-108 polypeptide (also known as A6 peptide or A6, a CD44 modulating peptide; FIG. 1; SEQ ID NO:1) based on the TP53 status of the cancer. In particular, this invention relates to such methods of treatment by using TP53 mutational status to guide the administration of an SPL-108 polypeptide or a variant thereof alone or in combination with a standard-of-care treatment for patients with cancer. TP53 mutational status is used to select patients that may or may not respond to SPL-108 polypeptide or a variant thereof; specific mutations TP53 predict the response of patients including progressive disease, stable disease, and/or partial/complete response to SPL-108. Such methods of the present invention are used to treat cancer to alleviate and/or prevent symptoms of cancer, and/or to avoid side effects commonly associated with treating cancer.
