Patent number: 11805467Abstract: Methods, systems, computer-readable media, and apparatuses for providing distributed content to a mobile device (e.g., in a mobile vehicle) through multiple content access points along a particular route are presented. In some embodiments, a computing device may receive a selection of media content and a selection of a particular route from a plurality of routes to enable navigation of a mobile vehicle from a start point to an end point calculated based on at least a number of content access points along each route. A computing device may divide the media content into a plurality of segments and send each segment to a respective planned content access point of a plurality of planned content access points along the particular route. In some embodiments, a mobile computing device within a mobile vehicle may receive a segment from each planned content access point to enable continuous uninterrupted playback of the media content.Type: GrantFiled: March 25, 2015Date of Patent: October 31, 2023Assignee: Comcast Cable Communications, LLCInventors: David O'hare, Kenneth Grantham, Irma Torero, Robert John, Lisa Wright, Jeffrey Stoller, Michael Toole, Kristine Beach, Brent Vannier, Terry Mahnke, Sandra Driscoll

Patent number: 11765679Abstract: Methods, systems, computer-readable media, and apparatuses for providing service to access nodes are presented. In some embodiments, a computing device may generate a geographical coverage map comprising a plurality of wireless access nodes respectively at a plurality of geographic locations and a wireless coverage range for each wireless access node. The computing device may receive from at least one wireless access node of the plurality of wireless access nodes an indication that the at least one wireless access node detected a first wireless access node of the plurality of wireless access nodes. The computing device may refine a first coverage range of the first wireless access node based on a respective geographic location of the at least one wireless access node. In some embodiments, a first wireless access node may receive and forward join emergency mesh (JEM) messages to establish a wireless network.Type: GrantFiled: October 19, 2020Date of Patent: September 19, 2023Assignee: Comcast Cable Communications, LLCInventors: Derrick Krening, Edward David Monnerat, Jonathan Alan Leech, Nicholas Adam Pinckernell, Andy Martushev, Jasbir Rajpal, Scott Moody, Garey Hoffman, David B. Publication number: 20020194083Abstract: In a computer network, services are provisioned for a user over the network, typically via a series of messages. Depending on the particular service to be provisioned many network entities may be concerned with the provision of a particular service. However, an initiator of a service request may be unaware of all the network entities concerned with a service provision request. A system which receives a single request for service provisioning from an initiator, determines each network entity corresponding to the request from a common repository of network entities, and applies the operations concerned with the service provision request at each corresponding network entity, allows a service to be provisioned without manually searching and examining the network to determine the network entities concerned with a particular service provision request.Type: ApplicationFiled: May 8, 2002Publication date: December 19, 2002Inventors: Srinivas Balabhadrapatruni, Srinivas Loke, Prasad Dorbala, Satish L.
