Abstract: A self-expanding intravascular medical device including a multi-component assembly with a self-expanding outer cage component comprising a plurality of struts; and a single cell wave-shape component disposed within the self-expanding outer cage component forming a channel therein. The proximal end of the single cell wave-shape component is connected to the self-expanding outer cage component at a proximal joint.

Abstract: A method of determining whether to insure an applicant for life insurance is provided. The method includes the steps of: (a) electronically obtaining data from an applicant for life insurance, the data including personal data related to the applicant; (b) electronically underwriting a potential policy using the data obtained in step (a) and externally sourced data related to the applicant; and (c) electronically determining whether to insure the applicant after step (b), and if a determination is made to insure the applicant, electronically issuing an insurance policy for the applicant.

Abstract: A scrolling sign apparatus is disclosed. The apparatus includes a web having a number of signs connected in a loop. The web includes a bead along each longitudinal edge thereof. The apparatus includes a housing which has a window for displaying the signs. The web is wound on a number of rollers located in the housing which advance the web through the window. Each roller has two circumferential grooves located near the ends of the roller. The grooves engage the beads along the edges of the web.

Abstract: Methods of providing and breeding trees having more easily extractable lignin due to the presence of a cinnamyl alcohol dehydrogenase (Cad) null gene are presented.
