  • Publication number: 20230310113
Abstract: According to one embodiment, an apparatus is disclosed. The apparatus includes an endoscopic clip placement tool and one or more marking clips attached to a specimen mass by the clip placement tool to mark a margin and orientation of the specimen mass. A specimen marking clip is also provided that is adapted to selectively attach to tissue inside of a patient and corresponding tissue that has been excised from the patient for analysis. Sutures may be associated with the clips to help ensure correct in vivo and ex vivo sample orientation. In vivo clips may remain in the patient's body if necessary.

  • Patent number: 8671908
Abstract: A four-valve per cylinder engine has two intake valves, two exhaust valves and a centrally located fuel injector. Between each adjacent pair of valves is a valve bridge with a point of minimum separation between adjacent valves. In the present disclosure, the glow plug port is defined in the cylinder top at a location outboard of the minimum separation between adjacent and at a depth which is tangent to an edge of a fuel jet emanating the injector. By placing the glow plug farther outboard than found in the prior art, the glow plug contacts the fuel as it comes out of the injector and as it rebounds off a feature of the piston bowl.

  • Publication number: 20110023800
Abstract: A vee-engine has left and right cylinder banks have valve configurations that are mirror images of each other. The exhaust valves and associated exhaust ports are situated more toward the rear of the engine than the intake valves in any particular cylinder. With all the exhaust valves nearer the rear of the engine, the overall exhaust manifold runner length between the ports and the turbocharger is reduced relative to an engine with offset cylinder banks where exhaust valves in one bank are located nearer the front of the engine than exhaust valves of the other bank.

  • Publication number: 20070011654
Abstract: The appearance formats, or coding styles, of source code files are reformatted. Specifically, a source code file is reformatted from a first appearance format to a second appearance format, with the source code of the file remaining substantively unchanged, upon the file being checked out from a source code repository. The source code file is reformatted from the second appearance format back to the first appearance format, with the source code remaining substantively unchanged, upon the file being checked back into the source code repository. Before reformatting, it may be determined whether a flag of the source code file indicates that it has been checked out in a read-only manner. If so, the flag is changed so that the source code file can be modified. After the file has been reformatted, the flag is changed back to again indicate that the file has been checked out in a read-only manner.

  • Publication number: 20060196049
Abstract: The present invention discloses a method and hardware apparatus that facilitate temporary mechanical alignment and assembly of discrete straight tube portions and tube bend portions. The temporary mechanical assembly permits a fabricator to “mock-up” the desired non-linear composite tube before any of the tube portions are permanently welded to the other.

  • Patent number: 6260531
Abstract: A valve seat insert 10 for use in combination with a cylinder head 12. Insert 10 is disposed within a cavity 24 formed within cylinder head 12 and includes several notches 40 which cooperate with surface 26 within cavity 24 to form a plurality of passages or channels 50 which allow fuel 18 to freely pass between surface 26 and insert 10. Channels 50 are effective to substantially prevent fuel 18 from becoming trapped between insert 10 and cylinder head 12, thereby preventing the formation of corrosive acids and byproducts.
