  • Publication number: 20080078648
Abstract: A conveyor roller assembly and an improved bearing isolator are disclosed. The conveyor roller assembly comprises a fixed shaft, a conveyor roller mounted for rotation about said shaft, wherein said conveyor roller comprises, a conveyor roller shell, a bearing housing at either end, a primary bearing having an inner race secured to said shaft and an outer race secured to said bearing housing, a rotor sealingly secured to said conveyor roller, and a stator sealingly secured to said shaft, wherein said rotor and said stator cooperate to form a non-contacting exterior interface passage, a non-contacting intermediate annular chamber, a non-contacting interior interface passage, and a non-contacting immediate interface passage.

  • Publication number: 20070241514
Abstract: A shaft seal assembly for maintaining a seal during shaft misalignment comprising a first sealing means adjacent said shaft with a defined clearance between said shaft and said sealing means, said shaft moveable axially in relation to said first sealing means; a second sealing means, said first sealing means partially encompassed within second sealing means and in cooperative communication with said second sealing means; a third sealing means, said second sealing means partially encompassed within third sealing means and in cooperative communication with said third sealing means, said third sealing means attached to said housing or vessel and allowing said first sealing means and second sealing means to cooperatively respond to said forces produced by angular misalignment of said shaft during rotation of said shaft while maintaining defined clearance between said shaft and said sealing means.

  • Publication number: 20070138748
Abstract: A shaft seal assembly is disclosed having a stator including a main body and axial and radial projections therefrom. The rotor is radially extended and encompasses the axial and radial projections from said stator. A passageway formed between the radial projection of stator and rotor results in an axial passageway having its opening facing rearwardly from the rotor and away from the source of impinging coolant and/or contaminant. A concentric circumferential receptor groove in the stator facing the housing allows insertion of conductive means for transmission of electrostatic charge away from the shaft through the shaft seal assembly to the housing and ground. The receptor groove is opposite the axial passageway and provides for both a substantially lower contaminant environment and improved engagement with conductive means.

  • Publication number: 20060228285
Abstract: A process and system for adsorption purification of NF3 wherein a crude product containing NF3 and impurities such as CF4 is brought into contact with a polyacrylonitrile-based carbon molecular sieve so that at least a portion of one or more impurities are adsorbed by the sieve without a significant adsorption of the NF3.
