  • Publication number: 20240139512
Abstract: An example system includes a first lead configured to be positioned in or beside a left internal jugular vein (IJV) of a patient to deliver a first stimulation signal to a first vagus nerve, the first lead including one or more first segmented electrodes positioned on a distal portion of the first lead and a first anchoring mechanism; a second lead configured to be positioned in or beside a right IJV of the patient to deliver a second stimulation signal to a second vagus nerve, the second lead including one or more second segmented electrodes positioned on a distal portion of the second lead and a second anchoring mechanism; and circuitry configured to deliver electrical energy to the first lead to deliver the first stimulation signal and the second lead to deliver the second stimulation signal to provide bilateral stimulation to the first vagus nerve and the second vagus nerve.

  • Publication number: 20240100296
Abstract: A package for a medical device such as an intermittent catheter has a case and a cap connected by threads. The case includes a hollow tube which is closed at one end and open at the other. A shoulder is formed near one end of the case. Above the shoulder is a cylindrical ferrule that includes external threads. The cap has internal threads selectably engageable with the threads on the ferrule to form a liquid-tight seal between the cap and case when the cap is installed on the case.

  • Publication number: 20130291567
Abstract: Methods and systems for regasifiing LNG are provided. A method for regasifying liquefied natural gas (LNG) includes providing heat to a LNG regasification process from a power plant. If the heat is not sufficient, additional heat can be provided to the LNG regasification process from a cooling tower operated in a warming tower configuration.

  • Patent number: 6415953
Abstract: A vending machine has a housing or casing supporting one or more interior shelves or trays upon which beverage containers can be placed in a position to be viewed by a customer through a window in the front of the machine. The window is located in a door on the front of the machine that is used to stock the machine with fresh product from the front. Product containers are urged toward a vending channel at the rear of the machine and away from the stocking door, thus assuring a first-in first-out movement of each product container to assure freshness. The containers can be urged toward the vending channel by a spring, by gravity (as by placing them on an inclined tray surface and allowing them to slide toward the vending channel at the rear of the machine), or by means of a conveyor, e.g., a vibratory or belt conveyor.

  • Patent number: 4647609
Abstract: An antistatic polyacetal resin composition is provided with vastly improved wear properties by the inclusion of small amounts of a polydiorganosiloxane. The polyacetal resin composition is provided with an antistatic agent comprising a polyol fatty acid ester such as glyceryl monostearate and a glycol ether or ester such as polyethylene glycol.

  • Patent number: 4579902
Abstract: The present invention provides a permanently antistatic, injection moldable thermoplastic composition comprising a polybutylene terephthalate resin having an intrinsic viscosity in the range of about 0.7 to about 1.4 deciliters per gram measured in ortho-chlorophenol at 25.degree. C., an antistatic dopant comprising an electron acceptor compound, an electron donor compound, and polytetrafluoroethlene, and less than about 10 percent by weight based on the total weight of the molding composition of carbon fibers having lengths between about 0.1 and about 1.0 inch. Such a molding composition exhibits a volume resistivity of less than 1.times.10.sup.8 ohm-cm, exceptional low wear performance, excellent mechanical properties, and ease of manufacture.
