Abstract: An anti-car jacking device operable by either a driver or a passenger and mounted on the car's undercarriage. The device employs a solid rod telescopically mounted in an outer cylinder pivotably mounted on a base plate. The outer cylinder and rod are restrained in place by a restraining device until activated by either mechanical or electrical means. When activated, the rod and cylinder rotate about a pivot bolt and the rod extends outwardly of the cylinder by centrifugal force. While extending and rotating the solid rod will strike the legs of a would-be car jacker.
