  • Publication number: 20090298691
Abstract: Described are preferred methods and compositions for controlling aquatic weeds that involve the use of fluridone in combination with at least one additional selected herbicidal agent, which is preferably penoxsulam, bensulfuron-methyl, bispyribac-sodium, and imazamox (ALS inhibitors). Additional preferred compositions and methods can further involve the use of triclopyr or 2,4-d (auxinic herbicides) in the herbicidal composition. Preferred herbicidal combinations allow for enhanced control and/or selectivity when treating a body of water to control a target weed population, such as a hydrilla, watermilfoil, curlyleaf pondweed, and/or Brazilian elodea weed populations.
