  • Publication number: 20230166176
Abstract: A binding for a snowboard, a kitesurf or a wakeboard, including a base, a highback that is movable around a first axis of rotation mounted on the base and a lever, of which a power lever arm controls, rotatably relative to the base, a resistance lever arm that cooperates with the highback to move it around the first axis of rotation between an open position and a closed position. The lever pivots around a second axis of rotation mounted on a bow of the base and in opposition to a toe strap relative to the first axis of rotation so that the power lever arm can be used as a ramp in counterforce against a stopper of the toe strap to move the highback between the open position and the closed position.

  • Publication number: 20130213826
Abstract: A portable electronic device holder consisting essentially of a cradle to which a dual-function pivotable clip is mounted. The cradle is structured as a backbone panel with bottom and top bracing sections adapted to receive and retain the respective end of a device to be held, either or both sections incorporating resilient means by which to securely clamp the device once seated therein. The pivotable clip is constructed of resilient wire formed as an open frame with transversely opposite ends, serving as bearing journals that are mounted in axially offset channels of a clip bearing, thereby inflicting elastic structural deformation on the clip. A biasing torque results, urging the clip towards the backbone panel when below a critical angle, thereby to serve as a clasp, and away from it when above the critical angle, thereby to readily assume an orientation at which to serve as a prop.

  • Patent number: 7704379
Abstract: The present invention relates to a process for converting Fischer-Tropsch wax to high quality lube basestocks using a molecular sieve Beta catalyst followed by a unidimensional intermediate pore molecular sieve with near circular pore structures having an average diameter of 0.50 nm to 0.65 nm wherein the difference between the maximum diameter and the minimum is ?0.05 nm. Both catalysts comprise one or more Group VIII metals. For example, a cascaded two-bed catalyst system consisting of a first bed Pt/Beta catalyst followed by a second bed Pt/ZSM-48 catalyst is highly selective for wax isomerization and lube hydrodewaxing with minimal gas formation.

  • Publication number: 20090107027
Abstract: A surface lure designed to mimic the appearance of an injured fish. The surface lure has a flat top surface which helps maintain the lure in a proper orientation in the water when reeled in. The surface lure also has a contoured bottom surface which is designed to mimic the appearance of a fish floating on its side when viewed from below the lure. The flat top surface may be painted a visually distinctive color so that the fisherman can easily spot the lure in the water.

  • Patent number: 4662501
Abstract: The invention relates to a coin acceptor mechanism in which a coil (101) is wound on a former (102) having a central opening (104) of a shape corresponding to the outline of a coin (103) to be checked and mounted with the plane of the opening at an angle to the horizontal. The opening (104) has, towards its lower side, a cross member (106) located below the transverse center line of the coil (101) so that a coin (103b) can momentarily rest on the cross member with its plane in the plane of the coil and can then turn about the cross member under its own weight and pass edge-wise through the opening in the former.

  • Patent number: 4574935
Abstract: A coin 12 to be checked is passed through a test coil 1 connected in parallel with a capacitor 2. A comparison coil 3 having an adjustable core 5 is also connected in parallel with a capacitor 4 and a direct current is passed through both coils in parallel from a rail 13 to an interrupter 14. The simultaneous interruption of the current through both coils produces between each coil and its capacitor a respective oscillatory discharge in the form of a decaying wave train and the characteristics and dimensions of the two coils and their capacitors are such that when a coin of the selected denomination passes through the test coil, the two wave trains are substantially identical. The two wave trains are compared by a comparator device 6 and a voltage comparator 7 generates a signal when the result of the comparison is below a predetermined datum, thus indicating that the coin is a genuine one.

  • Patent number: 4410178
Abstract: A reel unit for a gaming machine comprises a stepping motor 1 connected to drive the reel through a reduction gearbox 2 having an output shaft 3 coupled to a boss 5 forming part of the reel. The shaft end 3 forms a close fit with a circular opening 12 in the boss 5 and a transverse pin 8 extending through the shaft 3 is located in a transverse slot 14 in the face of the boss 5, the slot 14 being wider than the pin 8 and its sides engaging the pin only through a pair of resilient O-rings 9 on each extending portion of the pin 8, each O-ring being located in a respective recess 15 in the sides of the slot 14.
