  • Patent number: 8905306
Abstract: An electronic voting system provides increased transparency to the public and verification for the individual voters regarding the tallying of their respective votes. A voting record can be made available electronically, thereby eliminating the need to provide a voter with a paper ballot. A voting record identifier is generated without use of, or reference to, voter identity. The voting record identifier is provided to the voter, such that the voter can access a record of his ballot selections and vote number sequence. In addition, a biometric authentication mechanism is provided to reduce, or eliminate, the potential that a voter is able to vote more than once.

  • Publication number: 20140271653
Abstract: The present invention provides fully human antibodies that bind to respiratory syncytial virus F protein, compositions comprising the antibodies and methods of use. The antibodies of the invention are useful for preventing fusion of the virus with the cell membrane and preventing cell to cell spread of the virus, thereby providing a means of preventing the infection, or treating a patient suffering from the infection and ameliorating one or more symptoms or complications associated with the viral infection. The antibodies may also be useful for diagnosis of an infection by RSV.

  • Publication number: 20130341009
Abstract: Detector of Slickline Irregularities (DILA) is a electronic system to detect and assess irregularities in production wells or to a new slickline by measuring eddy currents or eddies or Foucault currents. The system lines can vary in diameter depending on the operation to be performed on each well. The electronic system includes an optical encoder, eddy current sensor, eddy current reader, an electronic module for data acquisition and a computer. The detector monitors the integrity of the slickline in the well, interprets and records the data for graphing and reduces failures in the slickline as a result of rupture caused by excessive stress or collisions within the producing wells, detects flattening and bending, lack of nickel coating, porosity and corrosion.
