Publication number: 20220370129Abstract: A medical laser system for outputting laser pulses includes at least one laser cavity, a rotating mirror, a user interface, and a controller. The controller is configured to receive at least one laser parameter associated with a laser pulse output by the system. The controller is configured to determine an average power level of the laser pulse based on the at least one laser parameter associated with the laser pulse. The controller is configured to determine a pulse width modulation (PWM) control signal based on at least one laser parameter. The controller is configured to generate the laser pulse based on the average power level and the PWM control signal, the laser pulse comprising at least one of a first shape, a second shape, or a third shape. Each of the first shape, the second shape, and the third shape of the laser pulse includes different pulse widths.Type: ApplicationFiled: May 20, 2022Publication date: November 24, 2022Applicant: Boston Scientific Scimed, Inc.Inventors: Baocheng YANG, Xirong YANG, Brian CHENG, Peter BULL, Rongwei Jason XUAN, Jian James ZHANG, Thomas Charles HASENBERG, David PIH

Patent number: 9468718Abstract: A pump system and method of detecting/alerting for a possible unintended free flow condition in an administration set includes the steps of a) sampling force signals from a force sensor of the pump at a predetermined frequency; b) storing each of the sampled forces signal in a N-point circular buffer, where N is an integer greater than two; c) calculating a derivative dF/dt based on the two most recent samples; d) repeating step c) and when the most recently calculated derivative dF/dt exceeds a first predetermined threshold, then calculating a N-point moving average of the derivatives dF/dt; and f) when the N-point moving average exceeds a second predetermined threshold, generating a user perceptible alarm to alert the user that a flow stop open condition may have occurred.Type: GrantFiled: September 6, 2013Date of Patent: October 18, 2016Assignee: Hospira, Inc.Inventors: David Tseng Ho Hung, David Pih, Purushottam Amarnath Patil, John Michael Wyatt, Vincent James DeFrank

Patent number: 6177805Abstract: A test connector for making electrical tests on a disk drive on a high volume manufacturing line. The test connector comprises a high density connector header for electrical connection to a disk drive electrical connector fixed to a printed circuit board (PCB) card having well-separated, large area contact pads electrically connected to the contacts on the connector header. The well-separated, large area contact pads on the test connector provide contact points for test probes from automated testers on the manufacturing line. Use of the test connector with its well-separated, large area contacts increases the reliability of electrical testing procedures with automated testers by reducing accidental shorting between test probes and by increasing contact alignment tolerances.Type: GrantFiled: November 24, 1998Date of Patent: January 23, 2001Assignee: International Business Machines CorporationInventor: David Pih
