Patent number: 10469951Abstract: A dual-diaphragm loudspeaker driver assembly can include a multiple pole magnet structure, and first and second pole piece assemblies can be provided on opposite first and second sides of the multiple pole magnet structure. In an example, each pole piece assembly defines an airgap over a polarity transition region on a respective side of the magnet structure. First and second voice coils can be provided in respective ones of the airgaps, wherein each of the voice coils is coupled to a respective diaphragm assembly, and at least one acoustic tuning port can be configured to provide a damped acoustic communication path between first and opposite second sides of each diaphragm assembly.Type: GrantFiled: April 6, 2018Date of Patent: November 5, 2019Assignee: Correlated Magnetics Research, LLCInventors: Jason N. Morgan, Andrew James Keane, Micah Brandon Harvey, Christopher David Pittman, Robert Lyle Coates

Patent number: 10223749Abstract: Retirement planning methods and systems for use with an individual investor having a retirement plan comprising assets and future liabilities. One or more computing devices perform the methods. Embodiments of the methods include determining a net present value of the assets and a net present value of the future liabilities. A funded ratio is calculated as a function of the net present value of the assets and the net present value of the future liabilities. If the funded ratio is less than a predetermined threshold value, the retirement plan is at risk of being underfunded. If the funded ratio is greater than the predetermined threshold value, the retirement plan is not at risk of being underfunded. An indication may be displayed indicating whether the retirement plan is at risk of being underfunded.Type: GrantFiled: November 7, 2013Date of Patent: March 5, 2019Assignee: RUSSELL INVESTMENTS GROUP INC.Inventors: Rod Steven Greenshields, Grant Walter Gardner, Samuel David Pittman, Steven M. Murray, Yuan-An Fan

Patent number: 9997845Abstract: The present disclosure pertains to a rotationally triply symmetric three axis magnetic antenna system having substantial isolation among the three axes, including a three axis skew orthogonal magnetic antenna system and device utilizing the antenna system. The antenna system comprising three substantially identical magnetic antenna elements disposed symmetrically about a reference point such that the magnetic axes from the three antenna elements are orthogonal to one another in direction and do not intersect one another. The three antenna elements are positioned in a substantial cross coupling null from one another to minimize cross coupling. The arrangement yields packaging efficiency for compact electronic devices. A 1, 1, diameter embodiment is disclosed. A location system utilizing the antenna system is disclosed. Methods for producing the antenna are disclosed. A moldable triple coil holder for the antenna system is described.Type: GrantFiled: June 24, 2014Date of Patent: June 12, 2018Assignee: Q-Track CorporationInventors: Hans Gregory Schantz, Christopher David Pittman, James Lee Richards, Stephen A. Publication number: 20170160058Abstract: A load distribution garment for use under a ballistic vest includes a shirt to be worn under the vest. The shirt has interface grips on its outside to engage the inside of the vest and help to transfer vertical load of the vest to the shirt. The shirt has tightenable straps that help to keep the shirt snub on the user's torso. As a result, some load of the vest is transferred to the user's torso, including the core, rather than being carried solely on the shoulders and collarbone area.Type: ApplicationFiled: August 17, 2016Publication date: June 8, 2017Inventors: Orr Limpisvasti, David Pittman

Publication number: 20160039340Abstract: The present invention pertains to a selective proximity detection system. A selective proximity detection system comprises at least one proximity tag, a plurality of sensor nodes, and at least one alert node. A sensor nodes comprises a proximity detector capable of detecting proximity with respect to the proximity tag, and a motion detector. In a preferred embodiment, a motion detector is an infrared detector. In alternate embodiments, a motion detector may employ video, radar motion sensing, or sensing of scattered RF signals, preferably FM broadcast signals whose half wavelength is comparable in dimension to the height of a typical person. In a preferred embodiment, a proximity detector is a NFER locator-receiver and a proximity tag is a NFER tag transmitter. In alternate embodiments, a proximity detector may employ ZigBee, WiFi, Bluetooth, passive scattering of ambient RF signals or other means of proximity detection.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 21, 2015Publication date: February 11, 2016Inventors: Hans Gregory Schantz, Christopher David Pittman, James Lee Richards, Stephen A. Publication number: 20060144447Abstract: The controller of the plural component proportioner (10) dispenses both components (or all three if a three component material) simultaneously (at least initially) and maintains ratio at the end of each predetermined volume of material by determining which component pump (12) has reached the desired amount of travel (given the resolution available) and using a valve (16) to shut off output of that pump until the other side has caught up. At pump changeover, the output valve for that pump (12) is shut off and the air motor (12a) allowed to run until travel stops to account for cavitation, air entertainment, compressibility, or poor inlet check performance.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 27, 2002Publication date: July 6, 2006Inventors: David Pittman, Vu Nguyen
