  • Patent number: 9753994
Abstract: System and methods for rapid generation of attribute driven temporal clustering are provided. In one embodiment, the system includes a data storage device and a server. The data storage device may be configured to store a database comprising a plurality of records. The system may also include a server in data communication with the data storage device. The server may be suitably programmed to receive a first attribute and a second attribute, search a database stored on a data storage device to obtain a first group of records associated with the first attribute, search the first group of records to obtain a second group of records associated with the second attribute, determine a temporal relationship between a first index date of a first attribute and a second index date of the second attribute, and generate an output comprising a graphical representation of the temporal relationship.

  • Publication number: 20170140406
Abstract: Systems, methods, and other embodiments are disclosed that are configured to maximize expected net revenue for a retail item. In one embodiment, input data associated with a retail item is read. A total inventory amount for the retail item that is available for distribution is initially allocated across sales channels where the retail item is sold to form a plurality of allocated inventory amounts, as represented in an inventory allocation data structure. An attempt is made to equalize marginal revenue values associated with the retail item across the sales channels as represented in a marginal revenue data structure. The allocated inventory amounts are iteratively adjusted, and marginal revenue values are iteratively updated based on the input data and the adjusted allocated inventory amounts for the sales channels. As the updated marginal revenue values approach equalization across the sales channels, the expected net revenue approaches maximization.

  • Patent number: 9195732
Abstract: Efficient SQL based multi-attribute clustering of data attributes may be used to identify the most relevant combination of data attributes to an outcome. A global outcome value may be calculated to represent an average of the outcome. A subset outcome value for each subset of data attributes of a plurality of attributes may be calculated to represent average of the outcome for the subset. For each subset of data attributes, a number of members associated with the subset may be compared to a threshold, and the subsets with less members than the threshold may be removed. The subset outcome value for each subset of data attributes may be compared to the global outcome value, and a report may be generated that identifies each subset for which the corresponding subset outcome value is greater than or less than the global outcome value.

  • Patent number: 9129059
Abstract: Techniques suitable for identifying potential subjects for a clinical trial and other applications are disclosed. One or more exclusion or inclusion criteria are defined for the clinical trial. One or more specialized searching tables are pre-generated using administrative healthcare claims data and the one or more exclusion or inclusion criteria. The specialized searching tables are searched. Through the searching step, subjects are identified within the administrative healthcare claims data who match the one or more exclusion or inclusion criteria. Through the searching step, a geographical area is identified corresponding to the subjects who match the one or more exclusion or inclusion criteria. A customized report is generated using the identified subjects and geographical area.

  • Patent number: 8832708
Abstract: Various embodiments enable a device to create a pool of at least one empty application. An empty application can be configured to contain resources that are common across one or more other applications and initialize the resources for the one or more other applications effective to reduce startup time of the other applications. In one or more embodiments, an empty application can further be populated with the one or more other applications effective to cause the one or more other applications to execute. Alternately or additionally, a device can be monitored for an idle state, and, upon determining the device is in the idle state, at least one empty application can be created.
