  • Publication number: 20240081987
Abstract: Aspects of the disclosure relate to prosthetic valves having a frame, a frame cover, and a leaflet construct. Some aspects are directed to a diametric taper for the prosthetic valve for achieving enhanced performance of the prosthetic valve under operational conditions, enhanced compressibility and delivery characteristics, and other additional or alternative advantages. Other aspects are directed toward unique assembly and attachment methods for securing leaflet constructs to support structures. Other aspects are directed toward features for interacting with transcatheter delivery systems. Still other aspects are directed to such apparatuses, systems, and methods for valve replacement, such as cardiac valve replacement.

  • Patent number: 5138949
Abstract: An ammunition cartridge is disclosed comprising a projectile threadably attached to a combustible case body via a threaded combustible case adapter. At least one of the adapter end have an uniform density of polyurethane resin to provide strength and sufficient support for the threads. The combustible case body may also have an uniform resin density to support threads corresponding to those on the rear end of the adapter. The preferable uniform polyurethane density is about 0.75 grams per cubic centimeter.

  • Patent number: 4342251
Abstract: A anti-detonation safety device for use in a bulk handling system transporting explosive powder. The device comprises spaced inlet and outlet members and, disposed therebetween, a plurality of interconnected planar panels defining a cruciform chamber, the wings of which each include a top panel, operable in response to an increase of the pressure in the chamber, to provide for venting the same.
