  • Patent number: 4266319
Abstract: An adaptor kit for use in a lawnmower, wherein the lawnmower has a frame, a pair of brackets secured to the frame, and a pair of handlebars, which may be releasably attached to the pair of brackets in a first position, and detached from the pair of brackets in a second position, and wherein the bag may be attached to the frame, and the attachment of the bag to the frame is facilitated upon the handlebars occupying the second position, includes first and second attachment devices which may be releasably secured to the handlebars, respectively, and a shifting device, which may be secured to the attachment device for shifting the handlebars from the first position to the second position, and vice versa, so that the bag may be easily attached to the frame, when the handlebars are in the second position.

  • Patent number: 4207149
Abstract: Gold electroplating solutions, particularly useful for plating onto nickel-iron substrates, are prepared utilizing electrolytes of relatively low conductivity, such as boric acid, alkali metal and ammonium acetates, nitrates, sulfates and orthophosphates. The gold is plated onto substrates using a current density ranging from about 1 to about 2000 amperes/square foot at a temperature of about 20.degree. to about 90.degree. C.

  • Patent number: 4045834
Abstract: A back-rest attachment for a boat seat includes first and second pairs of rods spaced from, and hingeably, connected to one another, and a fabric connected between and attached to the rods of the first pair. The pairs of rods may be pivoted from a first position parallel to one another to a second position at right angles with one another, in which latter position the back-rest attachment may be fastened to a board. In a preferred version of my invention the rods are telescopically collapsible so that the back-rest attachment may be folded into a collapsed position, and wherein the folded fabric may be used as a handle.

  • Patent number: RE30165
Abstract: Electric discharge lamps of extended life can be produced or cheaper materials used in their manufacture by providing on the internal surface of the envelope and on the exposed surfaces of internal components a protective coating of a metal phosphate or arsenate glass. External surfaces can also be protected against corrosion in air or in the atmosphere within an outer jacket, where this is employed. The coating may be applied in a liquid medium which, preferably after draining, is warmed to evaporate the medium and thereafter baked to form the vitreous coating.
