  • Patent number: 10520478
Abstract: A system for performing gas chromatography analyses in accordance with the present disclosure includes an analytical column and a column oven. The analytical column has an inlet portion coupled to an injector for receiving a material sample and an outlet portion coupled to a detector. The analytical column is adapted to direct the material sample from the injector to the detector. The column oven is adapted to heat the analytical column for separating constituent components of the material sample for detection by the detector.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: February 12, 2018
Date of Patent: December 31, 2019
    Assignee: GC OVENS INC.

  • Patent number: 6998489
Abstract: Methods of making indazoles are described. The methods involved reacting an aromatic aldehyde with a nitrogen source to form a nitroso aromatic aldehyde. The nitroso aromatic aldehyde is reacted with a reducing agent to form an indazole which ultimately can be used to form desired indazoles which are preferably pharmaceutically active products. The process of the present invention further permits the formation of enantiomerically enriched or pure indazoles such as aminoalkyl indazoles.
    Type: Grant

Date of Patent: February 14, 2006
    Assignee: Alcon, Inc.

  • Patent number: 5684286
Abstract: A reader for machine reading a symbol printed on a document. The light source shines light through a form at the location of a symbol printed on the form, and onto an array of light sensitive cells. This casts an image of light and shadow on the array. The array generates a signal in response to that image, which signal is processed to determine the information carried by the symbol. A writer such as a computer printer may also write to the document, and the information written to the document can be stored in a computer in conjunction with the information (such as an identification number) read from the symbol. Also, the method of encoding an identification number in a symbol, and decode it with the reader.

  • Patent number: 5684156
Abstract: A novel process for preparing clonidine derivatives has been discovered which is shorter, less expensive and safer than previously known methods. A new thiourea complex has also been discovered which can be directly cyclized to produce the corresponding heterocyclic product.

  • Patent number: 4060161
Abstract: In a matrix print head, a plurality of elongated printing elements, mounted in a frame, are driven axially by electromagnetic means to effect printing on record media positioned adjacent to the printing ends of the printing elements. Freely riding tubular elements are placed on the printing elements between support members forming part of the frame, in order to dampen the bending and vibration of the printing elements, and thus reduce or eliminate consequent fatigue failure.
