  • Patent number: 6148601
Abstract: Accuracy and predictability are provided in a fuel control system for an engine system including a fuel supply and a combustion chamber. The fuel control system includes at least one fuel injector having a calibrated nozzle to direct a fuel flow from the fuel supply into the combustion chamber of the engine, a servo valve connected between the fuel supply and the calibrated nozzle to meter the fuel flow from the fuel supply to the calibrated nozzle, a pressure transducer operably associated with the calibrated nozzle to measure a pressure drop in the fuel flow across the calibrated nozzle, and a controller operably associated with the pressure transducer and the servo valve to control the metering of the fuel flow by the servo valve. The calibrated nozzle has a known fuel flow vs. pressure drop characteristic. The controller controls the metering of the fuel flow by the servo valve based on the pressure drop measured by the pressure transducer and the known fuel flow vs.

  • Patent number: 5868390
Abstract: A game board having a two panel construction and its method of manufacture. A front panel and back panel constructed from a single piece of wood form the foundation of the game board, the panels being of a complementary generally polygonal profile with a portion of the periphery of the panels being beveled to form a plurality of keys when mated. A number of edge pieces having keyways adapted to engage the keys function to hide seams, add strength, and eliminate end checking of wood grain. Some edge pieces may also operate as hidden doors, concealing special channels. The front and back panels are formed from a common hardwood source and are mated in a manner such that their grain patterns match, while their grain expansion characteristics are opposing. The front panel has a cut-out region designed especially to receive and snugly retain a complementary shaped playing surface component.

  • Patent number: 4748845
Abstract: A tire pressure gauge located within a self-contained enclosure having a changeable numeric display at its exterior. An air inlet on the enclosure is utilized to establish pneumatic communication between the interior of an inflated tire and the interior of the enclosure. The enclosure interior is provided with electronic pressure responsive circuits operably connected to the display for presenting a numerical reading of air pressure. A power control circuit is operated by a programmed CPU, which electronically shifts it between operative and inoperative states to prolong battery life. The programmed CPU also detects maximum pressure readings, which are announced to the user by an electronically driven audible signal device within the hand-held enclosure.

  • Patent number: 4723445
Abstract: A tire pressure monitor arranged on a conventional wheel with a visual display viewable from the exterior of the wheel when it is stationary. The display typically presents a numerical indication of tire pressure. The electronic components for the display are housed within an enclosure mounted to the disk of the wheel. An air duct leads through the rim of the wheel to the enclosure for sampling interior tire pressure.
