  • Patent number: 10797374
Abstract: An automotive vehicle has a fixed glass panel with an aperture and a sliding glass panel mounted to the fixed glass panel adapted to selectably cover the aperture. The glass panels carry a heater grid having a plurality of vertical bus bars interconnected by a plurality of horizontal defrost traces. The bus bars are configured to be selectably connected to a power supply for providing resistive heating. The sliding glass panel is limited to a plurality of restricted positions. Each restricted position has at least one bus bar on the sliding glass panel overlapping one of the bus bars on the fixed glass panel to provide capacitive coupling between the overlapping bus bars of RF signals impinging on the horizontal traces. An antenna coupler connected to a bus bar on the fixed glass panel transmits the RF signals to an RF receiver.

  • Patent number: 5568120
Abstract: A remote controlled anti-theft system for transportation vehicles allows the user to easily determine at will if a faulty door position sensor or an open door will inhibit proper operation of the anti-theft system by pressing the lock button on the remote transmitter in a predetermined sequence. A first lock code from the remote transmitter initiates a locking and arming sequence of the anti-theft system. A second lock code received within a predetermined time of the first lock code causes an audible verification to be produced identifying whether the anti-theft system is successfully arming or whether a door ajar or faulty door sensor is preventing the anti-theft system from arming.

  • Patent number: 5058701
Abstract: A passive restraint system includes a torso belt automatically securing a vehicle occupant by moving from a forward position along a track to a rearward position to secure the occupant. A belt carrier carries one end of the torso belt along the track while the other end of the torso belt is retained on a belt retractor. The system also includes a manual lap belt which is secured by the vehicle occupant around the hips. Movement of the torso belt from the rearward to the forward position is prevented, even upon opening of the vehicle door, as long as the manual lap belt is engaged.
