  • Patent number: 8416764
Abstract: A mechanism for managing software modules in a VOIP service is discussed. A component management agent is provided for each VOIP software component in the VOIP environment. The component management agent registers with a session management agent which is in communication with a session management software facility. The component management agent accepts registrations from each software module in the component that it represents. The software module registrations indicate the type of objects that the software module supports. Subsequent managed object requests received from the session management facility are automatically directed to the appropriate software modules based on the registration information. Additionally, the session management agent and component management agent perform format conversions for the managed object requests where the session management facility and software modules are utilizing different object systems.

  • Patent number: 7050951
Abstract: A method of and software for automatically determining whether a mesh can be generated by sweeping for a representation of a geometric solid comprising: classifying surface mesh schemes for surfaces of the representation locally using surface vertex types; grouping mappable and submappable surfaces of the representation into chains; computing volume edge types for the representation; recursively traversing surfaces of the representation and grouping the surfaces into source, target, and linking surface lists; and checking traversal direction when traversing onto linking surfaces.

  • Patent number: 6067809
Abstract: A control circuit for supplying current from an electrical power source to a damper motor and an evaporator fan motor of a two compartment refrigeration unit. The control circuit includes a first and second thermostatic switches to regulate the temperature in respective first and second refrigeration compartments. The control circuit further includes a first mechanically actuated switch having a first common contact electrically connected to the damper motor. A first contact of the first switch connects the damper motor to the power source via the second thermostatic switch in response to a decrease in temperature in the second compartment. A second contact of the first switch connects the damper motor to the power source via the second thermostatic switch in response to an increase in temperature in the second compartment. The control circuit further has a second mechanically actuated switch with a second common contact connected to the evaporator fan motor.

  • Patent number: 5889243
Abstract: The drive train of an appliance timer includes a slip clutch formed of a triangular spring meshing with the outer flat surfaces of a hexagonal drive shaft. The slip clutch is incorporated into a drive pinion in the appliance timer drive train. Excessive torque causes the walls of the triangular spring to resiliently bend outward under rotational pressure from the drive shaft, permitting the drive shaft to rotate without rotating the drive pinion. When used in an icemaker, the slip provided by the clutch alleviates the need for an expensive, stallable motor.

  • Patent number: 4578485
Abstract: The invention concerns a method for the synthesis of 6'-ethyl spectinomycin and analogs thereof, including intermediates utilized in the method. The method comprises converting an enamine by a Grignard addition to various novel dienones not hitherto known. The dienones are then hydrogenated and deblocked to obtain 6'-ethyl spectinomycin and analogs thereof. The 6'-ethyl spectinomycin and analogs thereof prepared by the invention exhibit especially good antibacterial activity.

  • Patent number: 4480196
Abstract: An imput of a CMOS integrated circuit device is protected from excessive voltage swings at an input terminal by a protection circuit which comprises two series-connected protective stages between the device input terminal and the input. Each protective stage comprises a current-limiting series resistor and clamping diodes connected to the supply voltages of the device. The two stages enable the series resistance of the protection circuit to be much lower than that required for a single stage diode clamping arrangement, this being particularly advantageous if the device is an analog-to-digital converter for converting to digital values analog voltages present at the input terminal.
