  • Publication number: 20250130035
Abstract: A method and device for determining a piston or wheel position in a pneumatic drive and/or gripper system, comprising a wheel/piston arrangement which has a wheel and a piston coupled to the wheel. The method for determining a piston or wheel position in a pneumatic drive and/or gripper system may have a plurality of steps. In a first step, a defined system stimulus of the pneumatic drive and/or gripper system is triggered. In a further step, a system response of the pneumatic drive and/or gripper system is detected as a reaction to the defined system stimulus. Furthermore, it is provided that a parameter dataset is received. Furthermore, the piston or wheel position is determining by performing a position calculation prescription, on the basis of the detected system response, using the received parameter dataset and a comparison against the periodic, non-unique angle-of-rotation signal.

  • Publication number: 20240328533
Abstract: A method for determining an opening point position value of a valve device with a valve unit, in particular a piezo valve unit, in which the opening point position value describes the position of a valve member of the valve unit at which position the valve member changes from a closed state to an open state. The method including providing a drive variable signal course to drive the valve member with a drive variable so that the valve member is moved from the closed state to the open state and/or from the open state to the closed state, during the provision of the drive variable signal course, recording a position characteristic curve of the valve member as a function of the drive variable, on the basis of the recorded position characteristic curve, determining the opening point position value.

  • Patent number: 10289386
Abstract: A multiplier unit may be configured to generate a final approximation of an iterative arithmetic operation performed on two operands. Circuitry coupled to the multiplier unit may perform a shift operation and a mask operation on the final approximation to generate shifted and un-shifted approximations, respectively.
