  • Publication number: 20230386660
Abstract: A system comprising at least one hardware processor and a non-transitory computer-readable storage medium having stored thereon program code, the program code executable by the at least one hardware processor to receive n images, each depicting a tongue of a subject, preprocess then images, wherein the preprocessing comprises at least one of image selection and image adjustment, thereby obtaining n? images, produce m presentations of each of the n? images using at least one feature enhancing algorithm, classify the n?*m presentations into classes by applying a machine learning algorithm on the n?*m presentations, wherein the classes comprise at least a positive for gastrointestinal disorders and a negative for gastrointestinal disorders, and identify the subject as suffering from a gastrointestinal disorder when at least a predetermined fraction/percentage of the n?*m presentations are classified as being positive for gastrointestinal disorders.

  • Publication number: 20210007810
Abstract: The present invention discloses a method and a system for managing optical gear module in conjunction with a medical imaging device, according to a predefined set of conditional events. The medical imaging device disclosed herein can comprise two section members directly connected to a rigid scope. Said two section members may be an elongated rigid shaft tube and a distal tip. The distal tip can comprise an optical gear module required for some medical procedures. In some cases, at least one optical gear modules are located in the distal tip, each optical gear module can comprise a camera comprises a lens assembly and a sensor and light sources required for the camera functioning. The disclosed system can detect video signal/s captured by at least one of the cameras associated with the at least one of the optical gear modules. In some cases, upon detecting a video signal, the system may identify if the rigid scope position either outside or inside the patient body.

  • Publication number: 20150359413
Abstract: Apparatus and methods are described including apparatus (21) for capturing and processing a color video of an interior of a body of a human subject (20). The apparatus (21) includes a medical scope imaging device (22) configured to capture the video, and a medical image processing system (24), which includes a memory (26) and a processor (28). The memory (24) stores a color-reduction table (30), which specifies a plurality of low-occurrence-rate colors. The processor (28) is configured to use the color-reduction table (30) to identify for replacement one or more of the low-occurrence-rate colors in at least one of the frames of the video, and to replace one or more instances of each of the identified low-occurrence-rate colors with a replacement color. Other applications are also described.
