  • Publication number: 20250348336
Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for dynamically modeling and depicting overall emissions of the aviation industry and changes thereto when taking into account, for example, traffic growth and introduction of sustainability strategies, such as new and/or improved technologies, an increase in operational efficiency, and carbon offsets. Using the dynamic tool described herein, users can define scenarios on how to reduce emissions through the introduction of different sustainability strategies, both statically and over time, analyze the impact of those strategies on emissions, and understand the dependencies between select strategies.

  • Publication number: 20250211644
Abstract: Techniques and devices for device deduplication between home networks are described for generating a unique identifier in which an electronic device detects a factory reset and in response to the detecting, generates the unique identifier. The electronic device sends the unique identifier to a first cloud service, the sending being effective to cause the first cloud service to forward the unique identifier to a second cloud service, and the electronic device sends the unique identifier to a hub device in a Matter network, the sending being effective to cause the hub device to forward the unique identifier to the second cloud service.

  • Publication number: 20240370805
Abstract: A method is presented for graphically displaying aviation emissions information. The method comprises receiving a global database comprising flight parameters for a plurality of flights over a time period, the flight parameters including at least aviation emissions information for each of the plurality of flights. Aspects of the aviation emissions information are graphically displayed on a display device based on a default model. One or more modeling strategies for reducing aviation emissions over time are presented on the display device via a graphic user interface (GUI). User input indicating input values for one or more strategic parameters of the one or more modeling strategies is received via the GUI. The strategic parameters are applied to the global database to generate modeled emissions information. The graphical display of aspects of the aviation emissions information is adjusted based on the modeled emissions information.

  • Patent number: 7955593
Abstract: A method and composition treatment is used to reduce post permanent odor in permed or waved hair. The malodor in permed hair is reduced by applying a leave-in aqueous treatment of pH 2.5-4.5 containing, hydrolyzed vegetable protein, polyquaternium-7, dimethicone and fragrance containing at least four components with water/octanol partition coefficient Log Kow or log P of 3-4.5. The post permanent odor in hair is reduced by (1) minimizing any reactions of hair with residual chemical compounds in hair after the perming process or after the oxidation step and (2) lessen or suppress any odoriferous compounds by decreasing their vapor pressure and (3) depositing in hair long lasting fragrance components to mask or change the malodor to be more pleasant.

  • Publication number: 20060028290
Abstract: An absorptive temperature-variable microwave attenuator is produced using at least two temperature-variable (or fixed) resistors in series with a transmission line. The temperature coefficients of the temperature-variable resistors are selected so that the attenuator changes at a controlled rate with changes in temperature while attenuator remains relatively matched to the transmission line. In one embodiment, the resistors are thick-film resistors and a variety of temperature coefficients can be created for each resistor by properly selecting and mixing different inks when forming the resistors. Furthermore, attenuators can be created having either a negative temperature coefficient of attenuation or a positive temperature coefficient of attenuation.

  • Patent number: 6048277
Abstract: A golf club head has a sweet spot defined by a central axis of the club face, and an elongated smooth surface extending in its elongated direction along at least a portion of the central axis and overlying the sweet spot. A first set of approximately parallel score lines are located on one side of the central axis, and a second set of approximately parallel score lines are located on an opposite side of the central axis. Each score line is oriented upwardly at an oblique angle relative to the central axis to impart spin about spin axes extending approximately in a direction of the score lines and at oblique angles relative to the central axis of the club face for correcting a direction of impact resulting from mishitting the ball toward the toe portion or the heel portion of the club face.

  • Patent number: 6045458
Abstract: A golf club has a lobe defining a first club head thickness spaced between leading and trailing edges of the club face and on an opposite side of the club head relative to the face. An entry region of the club head is located below the lobe and adjacent to the leading edge on an opposite side of the club head relative to the face, and is spaced inwardly from the lobe to define a second club-head thickness less than the first club-head thickness. The entry region permits the club head to penetrate downwardly into a ground surface. A curved transition surface extends between the lobe and the entry region, and cooperates with the lobe to guide the club head generally forwardly after downward penetration of the leading edge into the ground.
