Publication number: 20130062033Abstract: A method for applying a refractory coating to a sand core, to be used for a metal casting, in a dry state, without the use of a liquid carrier. The coating may be applied by pressing the coating into a mixture of refractory material and impacting media fluidized in a vibratory bed such that the core floats in the mixture, and then rotating the core to coat the surfaces that will be in contact with the molten metal in the casting process.Type: ApplicationFiled: June 18, 2012Publication date: March 14, 2013Applicant: LaempeReich CorporationInventors: David Reich, Harry Reich

Patent number: 8356802Abstract: A handrail assembly that can be installed on any wall. The assembly has a handrail and a bracket. The bracket can be twist-locked inside the handrail at any point in the handrail because the handrail has a continuous T-shaped channel at the bottom. The T-shaped channel's bottom portion is narrower than the upper portion. The bracket has a head that is as wide as the T-shaped channel's bottom portion and as long as the T-shaped channel's upper portion. The head has one curved corner to facilitate turning and teeth to bite into the upper portion of the channel's wall. The head is lifted through the bottom portion into the upper portion of the channel, the bracket is rotated a quarter turn, and the bracket becomes immobilized. The head of the bracket acts as a cam. Union joints can join multiple lengths of handrails.Type: GrantFiled: June 1, 2010Date of Patent: January 22, 2013Inventor: David Reich

Patent number: 8201611Abstract: A method for centrifugal casting using a sand core having a refractory coating applied in a dry state, without the use of a liquid carrier, said coating sufficient to withstand the adverse forces of the centrifugal casting environment and yield a finished cast surface with a consistent, smooth surface. The coating may be applied by pressing the coating into a mixture of refractory material and impacting media fluidized in a vibratory bed such that the core floats in the mixture, and then rotating the core to coat the surfaces that will be in contact with the molten metal in the casting process.Type: GrantFiled: September 8, 2011Date of Patent: June 19, 2012Assignee: LaempeReich CorporationInventors: David Reich, Harry Reich
