Abstract: A method of synchronising audio content arranged to be played by a second device with video content played by a first device, wherein the second device includes a camera, comprises: capturing at least a portion of the video content with the camera; performing image recognition on the captured video content to identify a set time point in the audio content; and commencing playing the audio content from a selected time point in the audio content corresponding to the set time point, such that the audio content is synchronous with the video content. A method of pre-preparing video content for use in such a synchronisation method is also described.

Abstract: A wedge locking element (10) for a locking device of a quick coupler A for coupling the pin P2 of an attachment to earth working machinery. The wedge locking element (10) has a sloping wedge surface (13). Projecting from the wedge surface (13) is an engagement surface (12) with which the attachment pin P2 can engage but not apply any substantial driving force to the wedge locking element (10) in the event of failure of a force maintaining the wedge locking element (10) in a position where the pin P2 is retained with the coupler A. The pin engagement surface (12) lies in a plane that is substantially in line with the direction in which the locking element (10) is, in use, moved by the driving force.

Abstract: A sanitary chair has a frame comprising a seat frame portion and a base frame portion. The seat portion is supported on the base portion by telescopic support means, whereby to allow adjustment of the supported height of an apertured seat of the chair. The frame structure tapers to provide an opening at the rear larger than the front of the chair, whereby a plurality of similar chairs can be stacked in line nesting one within the other.

Abstract: A hoist for lifting and weighing a disabled person comprises a chassis supporting an upstanding column from which a lifting arm projects. The arm can be raised and lowered by means of elevating mechanism associated with the column, and a patient to be lifted, transported and/or weighed can be supported by a patient support member fitted at the end of the arm remote from the column. Weighing means fitted at the top of the column are responsive during weighing to the weight of the arm, including the supported load, at the column.

Abstract: An invalid hoist is provided for raising and lowering infirm and disabled persons while rigidly supported at the free end of an arm and of the type comprising an upstanding column and a patient support structure which projects from the column. To facilitate use of the hoist for hydrotherapy purposes, the support structure comprises a load attachment member adjacent a lower end of which a patient support member is rigidly attachable and which is slidable in a vertical plane for attachment purposes, the attachment member being capable of arcuate movement in a horizontal plane about a pivot axis offset from that plane towards, at or beyond the column.

Abstract: An invalid hoist has a wheeled chassis with a rear mounting for an upstanding column and lifting arm. The chassis comprises a cross member with main load-carrying wheels adjacent the ends thereof and three fore-and-aft wheel-carrying arms projecting from the cross member. Two of the arms extend forwardly in spaced relation to leave an opening between them and the third arm extends rearwardly to support the column.
