  • Patent number: 10687720
Abstract: A powered or automatic air management system for measuring pressure from an air pressure catheter located within a patient. Powered pumps are included in a remote pump assembly to automatically adjust the air volume to a desired level. A pressure transducer assembly is located at the bed of the patient and is connected to an air catheter, and a separate pump assembly is fixed to an IV pole away from the patient and connected to a pressure monitor to display the pressure readings. By locating the pressure transducer to a location relatively close to the connection point of the catheter, more accurate pressure readings can be achieved.

  • Patent number: 10354994
Abstract: Aspects disclosed herein include electrostatic discharge (ESD) protection in an electronic switching circuit. An electronic switching circuit includes switching circuitry configured to provide interconnectivity between a common port in at least one common branch and an input/output (I/O) port in at least one I/O branch. The common branch and the I/O branch each include a blocking capacitor element that is inherently incapable for ESD discharging. As such, an ESD clamp is disposed in parallel to the blocking capacitor element to provide a low-impedance ESD discharging path around the blocking capacitor element. By disposing the ESD clamp in parallel to the blocking capacitor element, it is possible to minimize detrimental parasitic effects of the ESD clamp, thus improving performance and reliability of the electronic switching circuit, especially for high power switching circuits such as a radio frequency (RF) switching circuits.

  • Publication number: 20190069809
Abstract: A catheter connector is described having a hydrophobic end cap or washer located around the end opening to the connector's lumen. The diameter and length of the lumen below the washer is sufficiently large enough to accommodate an absorbent tubular filter that changes color when exposed to fluid. The washer acts to limit the size of the water droplet that might adhere to the end of the catheter and help maintain surface tension on the droplet to prevent it from entering the lumen. The hydrophilic tubular filter absorbs any water that might pass by the washer and thus keeps the lumen hole open.
