Abstract: The present invention relates to the treatment of asthma in a human subject by administering by inhalation a therapeutically effective amount of an anti-IL-4 receptor alpha (IL-4Ra) lipocalin mutein, or a variant or fragment thereof, to said subject, wherein the delivered dose of said lipocalin mutein, or variant or fragment thereof, is from about 0.1 mg to about 160 mg. The lipocalin mutein, or a variant or fragment thereof, may for example be administered at least once per day, once per day or twice per day.

Abstract: The invention provides methods of treating autoimmune diseases by administration of a complete therapeutically effective amount of a CD20 specific antagonist as a single intravenous infusion. Retreatment may follow by the administration of a complete therapeutically effective amount of the CD20 specific antagonist by a single intravenous infusion, 4 to 6 months after the first administration. The CD20 specific antagonist preferably is a CD20 specific antibody, and the autoimmune disease preferably is rheumatoid arthritis.
