  • Publication number: 20120293596
Abstract: Multiple beam raster output scanners (ROSs) and printing systems are presented in which an adjustable mirror or lens is provided in the optical beam path upstream of the ROS polygon mirror to allow automated electronic adjustment of line-to-line and swath-to-swath spacing at runtime.
    Type: Application
    Filed: May 17, 2011
    Publication date: November 22, 2012
    Applicant: XEROX CORPORATION
Inventors: Jonathan B. Hunter, David Robert Kretschmann, David Mark Kerxhalli, Ronald W. Bogert
  • Patent number: 8295749
Abstract: A method of controlling the inverter dwell time of the first print engine in order to print any sheet size within a pitch mode without the need for a belt sync dead-cycle. The method uses a small nominal inverter dwell time based on the maximum sheet size for a given pitch mode. For any sheet size within the pitch mode that is smaller than the maximum sheet size, the inverter dwell time will increase proportionally.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: June 2, 2010
Date of Patent: October 23, 2012
    Assignee: Xerox Corporation
Inventors: David Mark Kerxhalli, David Robert Kretschmann
  • Patent number: 8254825
Abstract: A digital printing system employing tandem marking engines for duplex printing utilizing a variable dwell time in the output sheet inverter of the first marking engine to provide correct positioning of the leading edge of the inverted sheet for arrival at the entrance of the second marking to avoid the seam in the photoreceptor.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: February 18, 2009
Date of Patent: August 28, 2012
    Assignee: Xerox Corporation
Inventors: Ana P. Tooker, Michael James Diehl, Colleen R. Enzien, Thomas Edward Higgins, David Robert Kretschmann, Carlos A. Lopez, Andrew James Bonacci, Jacqueline Yvonne Tyson

  • Publication number: 20100149229
Abstract: A method and system for digital printing with plural marking engines in which a controller determines which of the marking engines has first completed its initialization/warm-up cycle and begins printing on that marking engine. As additional marking engines complete their initialization/warm-up cycle, additional concurrent printing is commenced on them.
