  • Publication number: 20180063098
Abstract: A vehicle network interface tool electrically connects a computing device to an electronic control unit of a motor vehicle. The vehicle network interface tool includes a vehicle communications port to receive vehicle network data from the electronic control unit of the motor vehicle. A crypto-processor decrypts the vehicle network data and creates computing device readable data. A main processor receives the computing device readable data and transmits it to a computing device port. A computing device port is in electrical communication with the main processor. The computing device receives the computing device readable data from said main processor and transmits the computing device readable data to the computing device for analysis. Being able to receive and decrypt encrypted data keeps the integrity of the ECU security preventing hacks to the ECU.

  • Patent number: 9779558
Abstract: A calibration tool assembly is operatively connected to a control unit of a vehicle. The calibration tool assembly includes a plug on device (POD) that is electrically connected to the control unit of the vehicle. The POD includes a field programmable gate array (FPGA) and a debugger port, which is controlled by the FPGA. The POD is operatively connected to the control unit of the vehicle. The debugger port bidirectionally transmits instructions between the FPGA and the control unit for the vehicle to debug and send instructions to the control unit. The calibration tool assembly also includes a hub, which is removably connected to the FPGA. The hub receives all measurement variable data from the control unit through the FPGA for analysis.

  • Publication number: 20090183087
Abstract: This invention involves a method and computer memory apparatus for transmitting a portion of one computer screen to another remote computer screen in real time. The user of a transmitting computer might initiate a computer program that allows the user of the transmitting computer to select a portion of the screen to transmit to a user of a receiving computer. The user of the receiving computer then receives a window on the receiving computer's screen, wherein a possibly resized copy of the image on the transmitting computer's screen is displayed. The image might be displayed in real time, and the users of both or one of the transmitting and the receiving computers might be able to modify the content of the image.

  • Publication number: 20050005061
Abstract: Techniques are disclosed for decreasing the time required for a photo-printing device (such as a commercial photo-printing kiosk) to print a plurality of digital images. For example, the digital images may be transferred from a print client to a print server and stored in a RAMdisk at the print server prior to printing. Image processing may be performed on at least some of the digital images prior to the initiation of printing. The digital images may be processed in decreasing order of estimated image processing time. Two or more of these techniques may be combined to decrease the total time required to print the digital images by, for example, increasing the speed with which images may be accessed, decreasing the amount of time that passes before printing begins, and enabling all of the digital images to be printed without stopping and restarting the print engine.
