The invention further provides compositions and methods for treating and preventing a variety of autoimmune diseases by administering to a subject an effective amount of secretin in combination with an effective amount of oxytocin. Additionally, the invention provides compositions and methods for preventing and treating pain by administering to a subject using a combination of an effective amount of secretin and an effective amount of oxytocin.
