  • Publication number: 20260127107
Abstract: A data platform is provided that collects memory usage data for a function during execution of the function and determines memory constraints of the function during execution using a configurable statistical method and the memory usage data. The data platform dynamically adjusts a memory limit for the function based on the memory constraints and schedules a job including the function using the memory limit without user intervention.

  • Publication number: 20250190240
Abstract: Techniques for providing adaptive warehouses in a multi-tenant data system are described. The workloads for the account can be multiplexed in the adaptive warehouse environment. Warehouse endpoints in a warehouse layer can be defined for an account in the multi-tenant data system. A compute layer for the account can be divided into workload regions, where each workload region corresponds to a different workload type.

  • Publication number: 20230330283
Abstract: A decontamination backpack system; the decontamination backpack system includes a hosting backpack housing a primary water tank and a heated water tank hosting a heating element. A hose extends from the heated water tank and connects to a dispensing nozzle having steam-dispensing apertures and a UVC light assembly configured to emit UVC light. Liquid stored in the heated water tank is heated by the heating element, as desired, and delivered to the steam-dispensing apertures of the dispensing nozzle via the hose. The decontamination backpack system provides a combination of ultraviolet light and steam to kill viruses and bacteria on a surface.

  • Publication number: 20150169504
Abstract: A layer based reorganization of document components through a display application. Layers of a document are determined from content of the document which is partitioned based on a paragraph, a sentence, a line, a word, an image, and a similar section. In response to a detection of a user action to select and move one of the layers, non-selected layers from the layers are moved away from the selected layer while moving the selected layer in a direction of the user action during the user action. The selected layer is moved in a place of an adjacent layer from the non-selected layers that is in the direction of the user action.

  • Patent number: 8571046
Abstract: A network repeater is configured to repeat data packets in a broadcast mode without generating a significant broadcast storm. The network repeater is configured to detect a characteristic of a received data packet. The data packet characteristic is compared with valid copies of packet characteristics previously stored in a packet registry. During a delay period, if a valid copy of the detected characteristic is found in the packet registry, then it is assumed that the packet is being received for the second time and the data packet is not repeated in the broadcast mode. If a valid copy of the detected characteristic of the data packet is not found in the packet registry, then the characteristic is stored in the packet registry and the data packet is repeated in a broadcast mode.

  • Patent number: 8406239
Abstract: A powerline communications device comprises a powerline communications interface and at least one other communications interface configured to communicate over a computing network. The powerline communications interface is further configured to receive electrical power. The computing network may comprise mediums including powerlines, telephone lines, and/or coaxial cables. In some embodiments, the powerline communications interface may communicate with a network apparatus, such as a personal computer, via an Ethernet interface. The powerline interface, the telephone line interface, and/or the coaxial cable interface may all be associated with the same media access control (MAC) address. The powerline communications device may receive a message via a first medium and repeat the message via a second medium based on a quality of service (QoS) metric. • Publication number: 20080159358
Abstract: Central coordinator and proxy coordinator information typically found in powerline communications standards, such as the HomePlug standards, is used to ensure proper communication of a data packet directed toward an unknown destination. By using the central coordinator nodes and the proxy coordinator nodes to repeat the data packet according to a set of forwarding rules, the data packet can be transmitted to each node in the network using a tree topology that avoids generating loops that may result in packet storms. When the destination node is located, subsequent data packets can be sent to the destination node through a known route.

  • Patent number: 6951418
Abstract: A highly efficient luminaire. The luminaire includes a light source that emits light. The emitted light is redirected by a light transformer having a curved circular reflective interior surface, the reflective interior surface reflecting the light in a predetermined pattern. A substantial amount of light being may be reflected close to an axis coincident with a radial line defining a radius of the circular reflective interior surface. Additionally, a substantial amount of light may be reflected in a pattern with low divergency or parallel with an axis of the light transformer. The light is transmitted to the exterior of the luminaire by an optical window.

  • Publication number: 20050035942
Abstract: A cursor control device has an input signal reader adapted to read an input signal created by movement of a surface there across, and a signal processing component adapted to process the input signal from the reader and to communicate a corresponding signal to a controller that is directly proportional to the input signal. The device remains in a substantially constant position relative to an active hand of a person when the person is using the active hand to operate a second device.
