Abstract: The present invention discloses a system and methods for biometric security using keystroke scan biometrics in a transponder-reader system. The biometric security system also includes a keystroke scan sensor that detects biometric samples and a device for verifying biometric samples. In one embodiment, the biometric security system includes a transponder configured with a keystroke scan sensor. In another embodiment, the system includes a reader configured with a keystroke scan sensor. In yet another embodiment, the present invention discloses methods for proffering and processing keystroke scan samples to facilitate authorization of transactions.

During the storing step, the biometric sample is stored on a database, for use by the transponder-reader system in authorizing transactions.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a process for producing an transparent or translucent transaction card having multiple features, such as a holographic foil, integrated circuit chip, RFID circuitry, silver magnetic stripe with text on the magnetic stripe, opacity gradient, an invisible optically recognizable compound, a translucent signature field such that the RFID circuitry and signature on back of the card is visible from the front of the card and an active thru date on the front of the card. The invisible optically recognizable compound is an infrared ink and/or film, which can be detected by a sensor found in an ATM or card assembly line.

Abstract: A transponder-reader payment system includes a fob including a transponder, and a RFID reader for interrogating the transponder. The system may further include a personalization system for populating onto the fob and RFID reader identifying information and security and authentication keys which may be used during mutual authentication of the fob and the reader and for completing a transaction. In exemplary operation, the fob and RFID reader may be personalized, the fob may be presented to the RFID reader for interrogation, the fob and reader may engage in mutual authentication, and fob identifying information may be provided to the reader for transaction completion. In another exemplary embodiment, operation of the transponder-reader payment system may be controlled by an activation circuit. Further, the fob may be responsive to multiple interrogation signals.

Abstract: The present invention includes a system and method for facilitating the customization of a transaction card having a set interest rate by allowing a consumer to choose when to use the promotional rate or customize other promotional offers. The consumer can select or customize the offer by telephoning a consumer service agent or entering the request via the Internet. The system adjusts the set interest rate to be equivalent to the promotional interest rate such that the promotional interest rate is activated on the calendar date and during the promotional time period.
