  • Publication number: 20240099727
Abstract: A surgical saw system including a saw, a blade cartridge and an attachment. The saw including a housing and a reciprocating shaft. The blade cartridge that may be removably coupled to the saw includes a bar and a rack. The bar includes a first holding feature. The rack is moveably disposed within the bar and is configured to removably couple to the reciprocating shaft of the saw. The attachment is disposed between and connecting the bar of the blade cartridge to the saw. The attachment may include a coupling feature in selective releasable engagement with the first holding feature of the bar to hold the bar static relative to the saw. The blade cartridge may also include a drive link that extends from reciprocating shaft of the saw and the rack for imparting the reciprocal motion of the reciprocating shaft to the rack.

  • Publication number: 20230010256
Abstract: A system for cleaning bone that includes a base unit with a motor, a cleaning head with a cleaning element and a mill head with a mill element. Both the cleaning head and the mill head are designed to be coupled to the base unit. Both the cleaning element and mill element have features that facilitate their coupling to the motor. When the cleaning head is attached to the base unit, a motor in the base unit rotates the cleaning element to remove soft tissue from the bone so as to clean the bone. The mill element is placed on the base unit and the cleaned bone placed in the mill head. The actuation of the base unit motor results in the actuations of the mill element. The actuation of the mill element converts the cleaned bone into bone chips.

  • Publication number: 20090281421
Abstract: A system for selectively triggering an energy activated therapy agent. The system includes a member to which a device for emitting energy is attached. One or more navigation markers are also attached to the member. The position of the navigation markers is tracked to provide an indication of the position of the energy emitting device relative to the target tissue. When the energy emitting device is adjacent the target tissue, it is actuated.

  • Publication number: 20090054853
Abstract: A surgical tool system including a tool such as a retractor, forceps or a power activated tool. The system also includes a source of gas and a means for inducing the flow of a agent that has a therapeutic effect into the gas stream. The tool has a bore into which the gas stream is introduced. The tool also has a discharged port from which the gas stream is discharged toward the site to which the tool is applied. The gas plume that is discharged from the tool forms a barrier that prevents airborne contaminates from reaching the site to which the tool is applied. The tool also has a device for emitting energy separate from any energy the tool emits to perform its function. This energy emitter emits energy that activates the therapeutic agent discharge from with the gas.
