  • Patent number: 12226151
Abstract: A return pad of an electrosurgical system is disclosed. The return pad includes a plurality of conductive members and a plurality of sensing devices. The conductive members are configured to receive radio frequency current applied to a patient. The sensing devices are configured to detect at least one of the following: a nerve control signal applied to the patient; and a movement of an anatomical feature of the patient resulting from application of the nerve control signal.

  • Publication number: 20250049467
Abstract: A method of suturing a trocar path incision in a tissue of a patient with an obturator includes inserting the obturator through the tissue such that a shaft of the obturator extends through a tissue opening about the trocar path incision and a distal tip of the obturator is positioned within a cavity of the patient. The method also includes directing the suture via a suturing feature with the obturator inserted through the tissue in order to direct the suture relative to the tissue. Furthermore, the method includes closing the tissue opening about the trocar path incision with the suture.

  • Patent number: 12201339
Abstract: A surgical system is disclosed including an end effector comprising a clamp arm, a tissue contacting surface, and a circuit defining a plurality of segmented sections. The plurality of segmented sections comprises a first segmented section comprising a first impedance sensor configured to sense a parameter associated with tissue positioned in the first segmented section and deliver electrosurgical energy to the tissue. A motor is configured to move the clamp arm. A current sensor is configured to sense a current draw of the motor. A control system is configured to interrogate the first impedance sensor to determine a value of the parameter, interrogate the current sensor to determine the current draw, compare the value of the parameter to a threshold value, compare the current draw to a threshold current draw, and divert the electrosurgical energy away from the first segmented section based on the comparisons.

  • Patent number: 6416095
Abstract: There is provided an elongate body side molding suitable for attachment to the side of a vehicle body, which molding comprises: i) one or more stabilising strip(s); ii) one or more layer(s) of a polymeric material with a relatively high coefficient of thermal expansion; and iii) one or more layer(s) of a polymeric material with a relatively low coefficient of thermal expansion; the layers of polymeric material with high and low coefficients of thermal expansion being so arranged that, over a predetermined range of temperatures, the overall shape of the body side molding is substantially maintained.

  • Patent number: 5957029
Abstract: A linear thruster is disclosed in which a load beam is linearly moved by fluid power relative to a guide beam and a piston. The beams are multisided in cross-section to substantially increase the linear bearing area between the bodies and, thereby, substantially increase the strength of the linear thruster against side forces as well as moments to which the linear thruster might subjected. Internal positioning of the components and energy transmission are maximized and the stroke may be variably adjusted.

  • Patent number: 4944552
Abstract: A stowable table system for use with a compartment in a vehicle seat, or the like, comprises a pivot block mounted for pivotal movement with respect to the compartment and a pivot stud mounted for pivotal movement in the pivot block and, in turn, mounting a table base that attaches a table structure for pivotal movement with respect to the pivot stud. A first set of shoulder forming limit stops enables the table structure, when in its use position, to be angularly displaced to a predetermined extent and a second set of shoulders prevents angular displacement between the table base and the compartment when the table structure is disposed in a position preparatory to stowing it in the compartment.
