  • Patent number: 11724036
Abstract: A syringe for withdrawing an aspirate from a body for micro fat grafting is provided. The syringe includes a barrel having an inner wall extending therein. The inner wall has one or more apertures formed therein allowing the aspirate to contact an absorbent positioned between the inner wall and an outer wall of the barrel. A plunger moves longitudinally within the barrel along the inner wall and has a gasket attached to a proximal end forming a seal against the inner wall. The absorbent may take many forms to absorb a non-fat cell portion of the aspirate. A related method includes retracting the plunger from a first position to draw the aspirate from a harvest site of a body into the barrel, exposing the aspirate to the absorbent, and moving the plunger toward the first position so a remaining portion of the aspirate is no longer exposed to the absorbent.

  • Patent number: 11071848
Abstract: A receiver for securing at least one tube in a patient includes a shell operable in a first position for receiving the tube and a second position for securing the tube, and a compressible member supported by the shell for contacting the tube in the second position. A bridle looped around the patient's septum may also be secured in the second position. A system for securing the tube includes a receiver and an applier. The applier supports the receiver in the first position and transitions the receiver from the first position to the second position after the tube is positioned within the receiver. A method of securing a tube includes positioning the tube in a patient, placing a flexible member around the patient's nasal septum, receiving the tube and flexible member in a shell supported by an applier, and operating the applier to move the shell to a closed position.

  • Publication number: 20190388118
Abstract: A device for removing a breast implant, fill material, and/or a capsule from a patient is provided. The device includes a housing having a distal portion and a proximal portion, and a suction port. Together, the distal and proximal portions define an interior chamber for receiving the breast implant. A ring is attached to an end of the proximal portion and the ring and the end of the proximal portion define an orifice through which the breast implant passes during removal. A related method includes the steps of exposing the breast implant and fill material, positioning a ring attached to an end of a housing against the exposed breast implant and fill material, the ring and the end of the housing defining an orifice through which the breast implant passes during removal, and applying suction to the housing sufficient to draw the breast implant through the orifice.
