  • Publication number: 20040169308
Abstract: An apparatus for producing a tube having a round cross-section over a major portion of its length and intermediate its ends having a flattened oval cross-section. The apparatus includes an extrusion head with an extrusion die through which the tube is extruded. A pinching device, which includes opposed pinching elements, is arranged at the extrusion head so as to be selectively moveable together to press on and pinch the tube to produce the oval cross-section of the tube. The rollers are selectively moveable apart to not pinch the tube to enable the tube to be extruded round, whereby a round tube with an intermediate flattened oval shaped portion is produced.

  • Patent number: 4880269
Abstract: A vehicle cab 10 with a window aperture 11 closed by a pivotable glazing panel 12. The window aperture is of vertically tapering form such that the width `W` of the lower regions of the aperture is less than higher regions of the aperture and the glazing panel 12 is of a similar vertically tapering form. A glazing panel mounting structure 13 allows the glazing panel to be moved from a generally upright closed position to a generally horizontal open position 12' by raising the panel in a vertical sense so that the lower narrower portion of the panel is in alignment with a wider higher portion of the aperture and then pivoting the lower narrower portion of the glazing panel about a first generally horizontal axis 21 through the wider higher portion of the aperture to its generally horizontal open position.

  • Patent number: 4793765
Abstract: An extendable material handling arm which is particularly suitable for use as a dipper stick of a back hoe digger. The arm has an outer member with a slot extending along its length, and an inner member provided with a digging bucket pivotally mounted adjacent one end. The inner member is encircled by the outer member for sliding therein to vary the effective length of the arm. A first support structure carried by the inner member adjacent the end remote from the bucket includes a support plate with a support surface for sliding contact with longitudinally extending portions of the outer surface of the outer member adjacent the slot.

  • Patent number: 4013308
Abstract: Stabilizer apparatus for use with a vehicle such as a tractor supporting load handling equipment such as a backhoe in which foot members disposed at opposite sides of a vehicle are engageable with the ground to stabilize the vehicle and are movable to an elevated position for transport by the vehicle. In the ground engaging position the foot members are positioned with their outer extremities projecting beyond some maximum predetermined width of the vehicle and in their transport position occupy a position in which the outer extremities are disposed within the confines of the maximum predetermined width of the vehicle.
