Abstract: An enhanced delivery system (300) for field service providers is disclosed. In its simplest form, the delivery system (300), can comprise the steps of: granting (305) permission to a service provider to provide a designated service at an assigned location; traveling (310) to the assigned location to provide a service; remotely actuating (315) an access point to gain access to a restricted area; accessing (320) the restricted area through the access point; providing (325) a service in connection with the restricted area; and closing (330) the access point after accessing the restricted area. The system (300) facilitates and simplifies access to restricted areas, and contributes to routinizing the service process for enhanced efficiencies.

Abstract: A security system is provided for a cargo container having a door. An electronic control unit is provided for monitoring the locked status of the door. The electronic control unit is operably communicable with a remote computer terminal. A first software control program is located within the electronic control unit to monitor the locked status of the door. A second software control program is located within the remote computer terminal and is capable of retrieving activity and functions from the first software control program. A protocol is provided to facilitate communication between the electronic control unit and the remote computer terminal.

The system (300) includes the steps of: sending (302) a RF signal having unique serial data from a transmitter; receiving (304) RF signal in a receiver and converting the RF signal to a digital signal; transmitting (306) the digital signal with the unique serial data from the receiver to a microcontroller; providing (308) an editable microcontroller memory including a look up table accessible by an external programming device; verifying (310) whether the unique serial data from the transmitting step matches data populated in the look up table; and performing or refraining from performing (312) a command requested by the transmitter, based on the data in the look up table.
