Patent number: 10574177Abstract: An integral, monolithic mounting bracket supports a corner of a photovoltaic module. The bracket includes a ballast tray for holding one or more ballast blocks, and includes a plurality of monolithic support legs that are disposed at acute angles from a plane of the ballast tray and that are integral with the ballast tray. The bracket can be manufactured by stamping at least two identical sections of metal from the sheet and then bending-up each section on its remaining uncut fourth side into a near-vertical position, so that each bent-up section forms a monolithic support leg.Type: GrantFiled: December 4, 2018Date of Patent: February 25, 2020Assignee: Unirac Inc.Inventors: Steve Bauer, Bill Vaught, Kim Weaver, Caitlin Purigraski, Stacy Harris, Charles Stubbs, David Saenz Alvarez

Systems and methods for administering self-service mutual fund and IRA distributions to participants
Patent number: 8732057Abstract: A self-service distribution system and method to request a withdrawal of funds from tax-deferred accounts (i.e., a distribution), such as individual retirement accounts (IRAs). The system may retrieve information about a participant's age and type of account from which a distribution is requested. A series of checks defined by rules and regulations that apply to tax-deferred accounts may be run against participant and account information retrieved by the system. A sequence of user interfaces may present information and warnings, such as tax consequences of the distribution, to the guide the participant. The participant may request distributions having a certain frequency, amount, and timing through the presented user interfaces. After all of the information is entered to initiate the distribution, a verification page is presented such that the participant may confirm the enter information is correct. Upon submitting the request, a confirmation is presented.Type: GrantFiled: April 22, 2009Date of Patent: May 20, 2014Assignee: United Services Automobile Association (USAA)Inventors: Devin Michael Becker, Aaron David Bend, Dennis Michael Berry, Jr., John Richard Camacho, Steven Wayne Meier, Jr., Brent Myron Merryman, Donna Ray Molinar, Marcus David Saenz, Christopher Michael Stegge -

Patent number: 8107714Abstract: Methods for determining a difference between a reference scene and a test scene are provided. An automated process calculates a power of the reference scene and a power of the test scene. The difference between the power of the reference scene and the test scene determines whether there is a variance between the reference scene and the test scene. Variance can be reported to allow further evaluation of the test scene. For example, if the difference exceeds a threshold, the automated process may provide the test scene to a human inspector for further evaluation. Alternatively, the test scene may be provided to a computer for further evaluation.Type: GrantFiled: January 18, 2006Date of Patent: January 31, 2012Assignee: The Board of Regents of the University of Texas SystemInventors: John Moya, David Saenz, Victor De La Garza

Publication number: 20040040425Abstract: A method for cutting sheet material including positioning the material on an upper surface of a guide table having slots. A blade of a saw is aligned with one of the slots and the saw is energized. The blade is advanced through the sheet material with the blade in the slot to cut the material along a line corresponding to the slot. Apparatus for cutting sheet material is also disclosed. The apparatus includes a saw and a guide table including an upper surface having a plurality of elongate slots therein for receiving the saw blade to guide the saw along the surface.Type: ApplicationFiled: August 30, 2002Publication date: March 4, 2004Applicant: General Electric CompanyInventors: Friedrich Peyerl, Robert Timothy DeBlassie, David Saenz Alvarez
