  • Patent number: 11976742
Abstract: The present invention is directed to an electromagnetic actuation system for opening and closing pipe valves. The electromagnetic actuation systems utilizes one or more electromagnets surrounding one or more permanent magnets attached to a rotary shaft of the valve mechanism. A controller activates the one or more electromagnets such that the produced magnetic field rotates, thereby applying a force to the one or more permanent magnets and thus rotating the rotary shaft. The system does not require rotation of the one or more electromagnets relative to the one or more permanent magnets, advantageously reducing the number of moving parts within the valve system.

  • Patent number: 11951505
Abstract: According to some embodiments, a system and method for dispensing a floor coating in a specified ratio of multiple components is disclosed. The system and method may set and maintain a desired ratio of the multiple components by controlling, with a controller, a drive rate of respective pumps configured for propelling the components from a reservoir to a mixer or a dispenser. The controller may be responsive to at least one of a measured actual drive rate, an environmental condition, an actual usage of each component, and an operational parameter of the system, for adjusting a drive rate of the respective pumps to compensate for discrepancies that may affect the ratio of the multiple components.

  • Publication number: 20230396584
Abstract: The present application describes systems and methods for automatically provisioning a domain name system (DNS) firewall service for an Internet circuit. In examples, customer premises equipment and a DNS firewall system are automatically configured to work with the Internet circuit without requiring technical knowledge or intervention by a customer.

  • Publication number: 20180073341
Abstract: Processes and systems for inhibiting the flow of fracturing fluid through one or more subterranean wells offset from the subterranean well being fractured. A fracturing fluid is injected under pressure via a first well penetrating and in fluid communication with a subterranean region of interest so as to fracture the subterranean region. A second fluid is positioned within one or more second subterranean wells penetrating and in fluid communication with the subterranean region. Each second well is equipped with a standing valve that is seated by the second fluid in each second well. The pressure of the second fluid may be monitored and the pressure applied to the second fluid at the surface may be increased upon determining an increase in pressure during the monitoring step.

  • Patent number: 6038303
Abstract: A service and facility initiation device (10) includes a first relay matrix (12) and a second relay matrix (14) coupled by an initiation bus (16). The first relay matrix (12) includes relays (30) that provide service feeds to primary/redundant and secondary service drops from primary and secondary in-service feeds received at the first relay matrix (12) and additional service feeds from the second relay matrix (14) via the initiation bus (16). The second relay matrix (14) includes relays (34) to place additional service feeds onto the initiation bus (16). The service and facility initiation device (10) includes a modem (28) or other communications interface that receives external control information to remotely operate relay drivers (20) for appropriate configuration of the relays (30 and 34) according to the service needs and requests of local customers.
