  • Publication number: 20120276999
Abstract: Pressure sensing methods, systems, and computer program products for detecting and monitoring pressure in selectable areas of interest include a sensing system to determine in-sole foot pressure of a user in sports training and monitoring applications.
    Type: Application
    Filed: October 4, 2011
    Publication date: November 1, 2012
Inventors: Alex J. Kalpaxis, David Schieffelin, Stacey S. Schieffelin, Tracey L. Stetler
  • Publication number: 20120059927
Abstract: Systems and methods for detecting, monitoring and profiling/correlating a subject's motions, such as rollovers, falls, shaking and tremors are disclosed. In particular, an infant's mobility event may cause critical event processing indicating that an infant has rolled over and may be suffocating. Such an event is classified as a Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS)-like event. The system may include a wireless pendant device and a wireless monitor server. The wireless pendant device is configured to measure acceleration motion of a subject, to generate acceleration data from the acceleration motion and to communicate the acceleration data with the wireless monitor server. The wireless monitor server is configured to analyze the acceleration data communicated by the wireless pendant device and to provide an output related to the analysis.

  • Publication number: 20110106656
Abstract: Disclosed is a system and method in which an image is detected and matched with an image stored in a database, the method comprising capturing an image or series of images; searching a database that has a plurality of stored images for comparison with the captured image matching the captured image to the stored images; locating stores, manufacturers, or distributors that sell, make or distribute the object or those objects that are similar to the matched object; and presenting colors that are available to the user or asking what color the user wants, pricing, available colors, and other pertinent information regarding the matched object.

  • Publication number: 20110016001
Abstract: Disclosed is a method for recommending products to a potential customer, comprising obtaining an image of a customer, creating an image vector template of a customer, matching the image vector template of the customer with stored templates by local feature analysis template matching, performing skin color/texture analysis template matching process, and recommending products to the customer.

  • Publication number: 20100152619
Abstract: Force sensing methods, systems, and computer-program products may be used to sense pressure at a plurality of points of a user's foot, including its bones, joints, muscles, tendons, and ligaments. Such systems, methods, and computer-program products sense pressure along the bottom of a user's foot during sports training and monitoring applications, electronic games, and diagnostic systems. In particular, the system generally comprises a transducer having a plurality of points of interest, an insole node for collecting and transmitting data sensed at the plurality of points of interest, first means for coupling that data across a network, by way of second means for coupling same to a collector node, and then to a computer.

  • Publication number: 20080159622
Abstract: A computer-readable medium for performing target object recognition in images and video includes instructions for receiving target image data including a target object, applying non-negative matrix factorization with enforced sparseness to the target image data to generate target extracted image feature data, training a neural network to identify the target object using the target extracted image feature data to obtain a trained neural network, receiving object image data, applying non-negative matrix factorization with enforced sparseness to the object image data to generate object extracted image feature data, analyzing the object extracted image feature data with the trained neural network to obtain a result indicating whether the presence of the target object is identified in the object image data, and storing the result of analyzing the object extracted image feature data.
