Patent number: 9871702Abstract: Systems, methods, and computer program embodiments are disclosed for providing network management services for a telecommunications network. In an embodiment, a request may be received for a service provided by an operations support system (OSS). Data may be retrieved from a network management database based on the received request. The network management database may store a plurality of network management data, and the stored data may be correlated to a service information model that defines a plurality of base network entities used to represent the architecture of the network. An information model template may then be read by the OSS that specifies one or more provider-specific network entities that extend the base network entities defined by the service information model. The retrieved data may then be operated on by the OSS, and the resulting output may be customized based on the provider-specific network entities of the information model template.Type: GrantFiled: February 17, 2016Date of Patent: January 16, 2018Assignee: CENX, INC.Inventors: Christopher Purdy, Evelyne Roch, David Schubert, Peter Strong

Publication number: 20090220802Abstract: A highly reflective layer system for coating substrates with reflection-enhancing layers, a method for producing the layer system and a device for carrying out the method are provided. On the surface of the substrate, a first functional reflection layer is applied. The first functional reflection layer may be reflective or partially reflective and comprise of metal or a metal alloy which contains one of more constituents from the group comprising copper, nickel, aluminum, titanium, molybdenum and tin. Provided there over is a second functional reflection layer. The second functional reflection later may comprise metal or a metal alloy, for example silver or a silver alloy. Over the second functional reflective layer there follows a first transparent dielectric layer. The first transparent dielectric layer may comprise, for example, silicon oxide. Arranged over the first transparent dielectric layer is a second transparent dielectric layer. This may consist, for example, of titanium oxide.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 6, 2006Publication date: September 3, 2009Applicant: VON ARDENNE Anlagentechnik GmbHInventors: Joerg Faber, Ekkehart Reinhold, Carsten Deus, Hans-Christian Hecht, David Schubert, Uwe Kralapp, Hendrik Hummel

Publication number: 20060160812Abstract: In accordance with the present invention, there are provided novel compounds that protect neurons and/or promote neuroregeneration and/or promote memory formation. Such compounds are useful for treatment of a variety of neural disorders and conditions. In another aspect of the present invention, there are also provided formulations containing one or more of the above-described compounds, optionally further containing additional neurologically active compound(s) and/or adjuvants to facilitate delivery thereof across the blood/brain barrier. In still another aspect of the present invention, there are further provided methods for treating a wide variety of neurological indications, e.g., acute neural injuries, chronic injuries, promoting memory formation, and the like.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 30, 2005Publication date: July 20, 2006Inventors: David Schubert, Yuanbin Liu, Thomas Baiga

Patent number: 6507893Abstract: A system and method for replacing cached data for a computer system utilizing one or more storage devices is disclosed. The storage devices are divided into a plurality of areas or bins. Each bin is preferably the same size. A Window Access Table (WAT) is an array stored in memory that contains all the time windows for each bin. Each time window holds a frequency value corresponding to the number of times the bin has been accessed during the time period corresponding to that time window. A hot spot algorithm is used to calculate a hot spot value hsf(x) for each bin based on its associated frequency values listed in the WAT. The hot spot algorithm uses scaling coefficients to weight the frequency values based on the time window. Each line in cache will therefore have an associated bin for which a hot spot value hsf(x) has been calculated. This data may be stored in a hot spot table.Type: GrantFiled: January 26, 2001Date of Patent: January 14, 2003Assignee: Dell Products, L.P.Inventors: William Price Dawkins, Karl David Schubert

Patent number: 6487638Abstract: A system and method for replacing cached data for a computer system utilizing one or more storage devices is disclosed. The storage devices are divided into a plurality of areas or bins. Each bin is preferably the same size. A Bin Access Table (BAT) is an array stored in memory that contains a frequency value for each bin corresponding to the number of times that the bin has been accessed during a predetermined time period. The BAT also contains a time stamp for each bin corresponding to the time that the bin was last accessed. A hot spot algorithm is used to calculate a hot spot factor or value hsf(x) for each bin based on its associated frequency value listed in the BAT. The frequency values may be weighted based on the time the bin was last accessed. Each line in cache will therefore correspond to a specific bin for which a time weighted hotspot factor hsf(x) has been calculated. These time weighted hot spot values are be stored in a hot spot table.Type: GrantFiled: January 26, 2001Date of Patent: November 26, 2002Assignee: Dell Products, L.P.Inventors: William Price Dawkins, Karl David Schubert

Patent number: 5202428Abstract: Proteins isolated from novel clonal cell lines grown in culture are mitogenic for fibroblasts, and glial cells; some promote nerve cell survival and are prospectively useful in treating diseases such as Parkinson's and Alzheimer's which result in cell death in the nervous system, as well as in treating patients prone to epileptic seizures and patients suffering from trauma to the CNS. Certain of these proteins may be useful in nerve regeneration as well as in treating such diseases and injuries. Some are particularly useful in promoting lung development. The proteins can be topically applied in suitable compositions for wound-healing applications, and they can be administered parenterally to promote lung development and to treat patients afflicted with nerve damage and/or nerve disease.Type: GrantFiled: September 27, 1990Date of Patent: April 13, 1993Assignee: The Salk Institute for Biological StudiesInventor: David Schubert
