  • Patent number: 10318539
Abstract: Approaches are provided for an apparatus having an interface, a memory, a display device, and a processor. The memory store a first case data structure having a first content field and a second case data structure having a second content field with a selection command. The processor receives via an input of the interface a selection of the selection command. In response to receiving the selection, the processor automatically populates content of the first content field of the first case data structure with a content of the second content field of the second case data structure.

  • Publication number: 20170270767
Abstract: Approaches are provided for an apparatus having an interface with an input. The input is configured to receive a plurality of current alerts. The apparatus further includes a display device configured to display the current alerts, and a memory configured to store a prior case data structure comprising prior evidence alerts. The apparatus further includes a processor configured to access the prior case data structure from the memory. The processor is further configured to determine whether the prior evidence alerts include a first prior evidence alert related to the first current alert and a second prior evidence alert related to the second current alert. In response to determining the prior evidence alerts include the first and second prior evidence alerts, the processor is further configured to display at the display device an indication of a prior relationship between the first current alert and the second current alert.

  • Publication number: 20170263103
Abstract: Approaches are provided for storing in a memory device a work plan and a case data structure associated with an industrial machine or system. The case data structure includes an impact field with an impact value, and an urgency field with an urgency value. A processor transmits via an output a case report to a plurality of local computing devices at a remote location. The case report is indicative of one or more characteristics of a case. The processor is further configured to receive via an input a plurality of transmissions from the plurality of local computing devices. Each of the transmissions are indicative of an assessed impact and an assessed urgency.

  • Publication number: 20170262160
Abstract: Approaches are provided for an apparatus having an interface with an input and an output. The apparatus also includes a display device having a touch-sensitive user interface. The apparatus also includes a processor coupled to the interface and the display device. The processor is configured to display at the display device a first content pane, a second content pane, and a third content pane. The first content pane includes a case report received at the input of the interface. The case report represents characteristics of a case associated with an abnormality detected in an industrial machine or system. The second content pane includes a user input interface configured to receive a user input. The third content pane includes a response to the user input. The response is received at the input of the interface.

  • Publication number: 20160170395
Abstract: Approaches are provided for a case management system where one or more exceptions are detected at an industrial machine. A case is then created which represents the one or more exceptions. Additional exceptions may also be linked to the created case which may occur after the creation of the case. The case is stored in an electronic database. One or more first trigger indications are generated which lead to updates to the case at a first time. The case is then responsively updated with first evidence and a first accompanying interpretation. The first update, trigger indications, evidence, and the accompanying interpretation are then linked in an electronic database to form a first linkage which is interpreted such that the evidence, interpretation, and underlying trigger are examined in the context of each other, and an action may be determined to take in mitigating the issue at the industrial machine.
