    Abstract: A swivel chamber that streamlines the procedure for retrieving core samples from a wireline diamond core drill. The swivel chamber includes a housing, a rotary seal, overshot and wire cable packing. The swivel chamber is threaded at one end for attachment to a drill rod. The other end of the swivel chamber allows for the connection of a cable packing housing. The swivel chamber has two spaced fluid inlets to drive the drilling cycle and the core retrieval cycle. Contrary to previous designs, the swivel chamber remains in place during both cycles.
