Abstract: An apparatus and method for frying food is comprised of a housing provided with a receiving opening in which foodstuff to be fried is inserted. The foodstuff is directed to a perforated frying basket which is displaced upon actuation of a switch by the user into a frying pot containing hot oil. While the basket is in the frying pot, it is being shaken to provide more even cooking and to prevent the foodstuff from sticking together. After the frying cycle the frying basket is displaced to a position above the frying pot where the basket is again shaken to drip oil from the foodstuff and the basket into the frying pot. The basket is then conveyed to a discharge position where a chute directs the fried foodstuff to a discharge opening where a container has been placed to receive the fried foodstuff.

Abstract: A screwdriver wherein the handle has a front and a rear handle section which are mated with one another. A shaft extends axially from the front end of the front handle section. The rear handle section is removably connected to the front handle section. The rear handle section has a shaft extending axially from a front end thereof and located in a central inner bore of the front handle section when the rear handle section is mated with the front handle section. The rear handle section constitutes a stub screwdriver. A screwdriver bit retention magazine is formed in the rear circumferential wall end of the front handle section and has a plurality of cavities having at least a wall portion thereof comprised of a thermoplastic elastomer to provide frictional retention of the bits.

Abstract: A multifunctional mobility device for physically disabled people comprises a L-shaped frame having at its lower end a platform adapted to receive thereon a user in a substantially standing position. Front and rear wheels support the frame and the platform. The front wheels are rotatably mounted to the frame just in front of the platform. The frame includes at its upper end a pair of grips which can be grasped by the user when standing on the platform. Therefore, to operate the mobility device, the user must exert on the frame a sufficient force oriented substantially in a forward direction thereby producing a pivot of the frame and of the platform about the front wheel and a rotation of the front wheel which results in a forward displacement of the mobility device and of the user. A stabilizer terminated by a swivel caster is provided in front of the front wheels for limiting the forward pivot of the mobility device. A retractable seat also transforms the mobility aid into a wheelchair.
